One of the best beer lineups I've seen for any festival in Texas. VIP is well worth the money and definitely not missing this.

    Considering coming up from ATX.

The rare beers they say are VIP only, they are not marked on this list (except for GI 312 wheat, lol). We can assume they are what we think are the more rare ones? E.g. Uncle Jacob's, Black Ops, half of FW brews, KBS, etc.

Also, will all of the beers be tapped at 1:30, or just some of them?
It seems like this fest knows what they're doing, but it would be :slight_frown: if they tapped a bunch of shelf beer and only a few rare things at 1:30.

And props to Untapped for having a beer list, clearly outlining how to buy more samples, and having a good (and humorous) FAQ!

Will double check with Cory at some point - and I'm sure other attendees of last year's (and FW) could vouch, but I would be shocked if they don't pour all of the "rare" stuff right when the VIP session opens.

Both at Dallas and Fort Worth Untapped festivals, all the beers were tapped right at the start. There might have been a couple of exceptions to this (I seem to remember Goose Island doing some timed releases) but in general everything's available right away. VIPs will definitely have the best beer selection.

My experience with Untapped last year, and in Fort Worth earlier this year is that they tap the rare stuff early, and quite possibly everything at the same time. So, VIP gets you a chance to try what most BAs would consider rare in the local market.

Basically, each brewery has their own tent, or those with less beers will share. Avery will probably be pouring from bottles (which they did for Odio).

The only timed tappings I remember last year in Dallas was Lakewood doing different nelson's for 2 hours each or so. It was fun.

I went to FW in the spring and got in at 3:30 or so and got most of the stuff that was considered VIP. Missed out on the Firestone Walker duo but that was the week they showed up in town so it was hot stuff.

This event is going to be quite a bit larger than FW in terms of attendance. I wouldn't bet on all the really special beers being available to GA attendees. Probably will be lots of good beers available regardless though, for all attendees.

KBS lasted about 30 minutes in Ft. Worth but pretty sure most of the other big barrel aged stouts lasted most of the way through the VIP session. Great line up for sure but mildly surprised with Goose Island being the "featured" brewery there is no BCBS. Wishful thinking, I know. Cheers!

The key is how many VIPs they are selling.

Why does it seem like VIP is the normal ticket? I'm guessing they don't have a limit and it is going to be crazy, unless you buy the $100 VIP VIP ticket.

VIP is definitely worth the $$. All the beers are tapped from the start. Since Founders was the hot ticket in April at Fort Worth Untapped, I felt like the VIP was strictly for KBS.... haha. By far the longest line of the entire festival. Like the earlier post said, KBS lasted 30 min. But, we knocked out KBS, Parabola, Sucaba and some other big dogs off the list early and got to enjoy a ton of awesome brews before the lines got crazy. I picked up a VIP for Dallas as well! See everyone there!

It was on the home page.

Edit: what The!? I don't see it now. included access to a/c room, patio, vip area, etc.
Edit 2: this mentions it as well.
If I leave the event am I allowed to come back in? VIP (AND SUPER VIP) Ticket holders will be allowed in & out privileges…but why would you wanna leave with all this awesome
    Edit 3: found it.

Good detective work, seems like the VIP VIP option is no longer available. Normal VIP seems good enough though.

The Super VIP tickets were limited to a smaller number, get 20% off merch, commemorative glass, etc. I think they also allowed entry 15 minutes before regular VIP.

The higher end VIP option sold out a while ago unfortunately. Really limited number of them.
