Anyone tried any Texian beer yet? They are close to me.

 

I poured their stuff at last year's Draft Fest. Really enjoyed the Dunkelweizen, and it was a big hit once word made it around the festival -- I distinctly remember Eric Warner enjoying one and chatting with the Texian crew about it.

They had one or two others that day, but I don't remember what they were or if they stood out too much.

Good dudes, though; had fun hanging out with them and talking beer. Looking forward to their stuff, though I wish the Dunkelweizen was on the list.

 

I tried their stuff at thirdeye's beerfest. I was underwhelmed. Their dunkelweizen tasted like my second ever homebrew. Maybe they have improved since then. It was just not very good.

 

Quite different from my experience, which gives these guys a big "TBD".

 

I have to second Jose on the dunkelweizen. I drank it at The Draft and enjoyed it as well. I'll try their other beers.

 

They're close to me too. We should meet for a beer!

Or go shoot tiny rats behind a dumpster!!!

Really though, I've been looking for a local BA to share my bigger beers with. (bigger ABV and 22oz-750ml sizes)

 

BBXXV at Lonestar yesterday. Uncle Jacobs has been gone for weeks.

I'd follow Lonestar and Hall's on Facebook. They both update a lot regarding new brews and let you know how much they have and when it'll be available if applicable.

 

Simply "Squeezed."

 

Hall's had BBXXV earlier today, so it should hit other places within a week at most.

 

Got mine today, have two finally so I can drink the one I brought back from Portland over the summer. Also picked up an Adelberts bourbon barrel aged Dubbel today. Really looking forward to this.

 

The vintage series Dancin' Monks was aged in red wine barrels.

Um. Yeah, this could have been not disgusting.

 

I kinda like the Coconut Curry Hefeweizen.
