Good call. I usually just let my dog Rufus eat right out of the bowl.

I call crossing 5th Ave NE from my home on 4th Ave NE "going to the Eastside."

I hope that (1) you are joking and (2) Texwild sees this thread. Even if it is a joke, he should be aware that his brewery's well-meaning attempt to provide a little food for his patrons and allow pets in his establishment is potentially turning the UBG into a public-health hazard. I let my daughter eat the pretzels and apples @ Fremont and never imagined people would consider using them to spread E. coli, hepatitis, and ringworm.

Then again, before our dog died we always kept him on a leash in public. You know, consideration of others.

Actually it's the kids who are the worst offenders. Many play on the dirty floor and then they go grab pretzels out of the bowl. Yuck!

A fair point. I can only speak for myself, but I don't allow my daughter to play on the floor, at Fremont or other public areas. And unlike dogs, she keeps her nose and mouth out of some other very nasty places.

    Both are great.

Some things I like about each...

    Black Raven:
    • Release their big beers (GFR, OBB) in 12 oz. bottles. Though, obviously, they're pretty tough to actually get.
    • Actually product a good scotch ale--something I assumed was impossible.
    • Amazing experimental beers like Tri-Berry and Kitty Kat Blues.
    • Flock Party is dope.
    Fremont:
    • They seem to be much more integrated into the beer community (BA, SBW, etc.) than any other local brewery.
    • It is actually possible to buy their big beers.
    • Cans.
    • Interurban is amazing for a beer you can find everywhere.

Yeah. You might not have noticed, but dogs aren't the cleanest animals.

Wow, that's hard to believe you rarely visit breweries when you live someplace filled with them. That's where I do most of my beer consumption outside of what I homebrew. Plus my girlfriend is into beer and enjoys visiting breweries almost as much as I do. But having kids would make those visits a lot more challenging.

Bingo. Plus I tend to work long hours, so what little free time I have I'd rather spend somewhere other than a brewery.

If you're into English styles, Machine House is very kid friendly.

Honestly, I go there almost every weekend and it's never kid friendly in an obnoxious way.

I say Fremont only because I know how awesome their stuff is because I got to try them!!

Black Raven supposedly makes great beer but other than Wisdom Seeker, I can't find them much. A couple of their regular stuff I tried were just okay.
