It's because you drank it fresh. Their beers are meant to be aged.

It had a best before of 12/12/13. That's aged, isn't it?

Had two bottles of Amager No Rice & Curry over the last few weeks. Delicious beer. Great hoppy lager with excellent ABV and drinkability.

Tonight Wheat is the new hops, Bruery Mischief and 2010 Moo Brew BA Stout.

None fixed my broken collarbone, but they sure all tasted good.

Sunday I visited the Old Swan Brewery. Beers used to be infected, but that was years ago. I finally returned.... Had two beers, Angus Pale Ale = solid american style pale, Riverside Lager = solid german hell (slightly overcarbed but no biggy because it was pretty bloody authentic and I am a real German beer snob). The brewer seems to know his stuff there.

I'm heading back tonight to try another couple. Very promising indeed, and good news for coming summer given the location is beautiful. Got motivated for a return visit after the "Brew TV" doco on Channel 44 I think it is.

    Weihenstephaner Festbier

Skunky and waxy. Interesting change-up but closest beer I've had to a macro in a while.

Some of the recent reviews seem to suggest its not up to par this year.

    Now Little Creatures IPA

Pretty decent...about what I'd expect from an IPA from them really...and can't complain considering it will no doubt get better distribution than beers like Hop Hog

    Seems fairly sessionable too

tbh now I think about it I'm not sure if I ever thought this beer was all that great

Hacker Pschorr is basically the only Oktoberfest I can remember actually enjoying

Now BORIS for my first time out of the bottle

Not sure what to make of this really...hints at fruit then finishes like tar. Feels dry as tar but there's definite residual sweetness

Wish the malts had a bit more character or spice really

Not a bad beer, might age well

I really need to go, but the pricing for food has always kept me a bit away (not because I don't mind paying good money for good food, but because it's a bit out of the budget for the rest of the family).
