I've seen Still Life and FMJ as recently as two weeks ago on a store shelf. The last batch of Thrillseeker lingered on the shelf longer than I expected it to as well. I'm not so sure Udder Love will disappear so quickly.

They are great for sure, but bargain? Not so much. At the prices I've seen them for on the shelf, it would cost about $30 for almost the equivalent of a sixer (in terms of ounces). 30 bones!!! The average price for a sixer of IPA is about $12 so one would have to cough up about 250% to drink bottled Beachwood IPA. I love them and all, but I'm going to stick to drinking them at the pub.

Gota chime in here, You really cant compare Six pack Beer to Bombers pricing. different animal entirely. Ex: Sculpin 6packs $16 Sculpin Bombers $8. Oh and which beer is on par in a sixer with BWs IPAS? Id pay more happily :stuck_out_tongue:

Come to my shop youll get it from between 8-8.99 IF that truly ends up the pricing on invoice and im lucky enough to get some (never really know till it arrives). Gabes pricing is actually very fair, Id imagine since he did the retail side of this biz for so long he understands the problems. Id almost guarantee that the shops your getting it from are a bit on the shady side to begin with. If you see a bottle of founders sitting next to it thats a good sign. Beachwoods beers are finally starting to gain the notoriety they deserve as being one of the best period. So a black market is popping up with it, alot of retailers are going to the brewery picking it up at 8 and then adding a mark up from there. hence the higher prices people havel seen on the Beachwood Beers (not all cases mind you, some have higher mark ups obviously). Although truthfully at much higher pricing it will still sell out in an hour. Those beers are getting in very high demand.

    Yep, in most cases

You're right about the premium charged for the bomber format--they'll always be more expensive compared to a sixer of the same beer. If you're going to compare Sculpin at 8 and a Beachwood IPA at 10, then I'd easily pay the extra $2 for the better beer. However, the consumer's faced with the very real choice of choosing between a high priced bomber and sixer of competitive product. I'll choose the better value almost all the time and leave the premium-priced stuff for the occasional splurge purchase. I'd imagine I'm not alone in that regard.

As for what's comparable? Well, Lagunitas Sucks would be a good start when it's around. Also, Double Jack 4-packs are still almost half the price of a Beachwood IPA on a store shelf.

Zerric I'm sure most shops mark there price at 30% am I correct?
So I'm saying that if its at a 30% mark up it will be closer to the 10 price point..(not knowing the cost already. But if its 8 dollars at the brewery it will be 8 dollars everywhere, cause I know most Brewery sell there beers at the same profit margin as retail shop. I also agree Beachwood is finally getting the notoriety they deserve..
    Cheers

I suddenly got cravings for coffee and milk stouts again after a stint with IPA's and sours. Damn, I got a wishy-washy palate.
