Le Terroir (2013) in Seattle?

Oops, my bad saying you don't update the site. I hope I can make it over there to grab a couple bottles before they're all gone. I've been looking high and low on this side of the West Seattle Bridge to no avail...

 

I have seen it a few places around town, 22oz bottles at chucks right now...and a keg for sometime in the future

 

My gripe with beer store updates isn't all that serious, but technology and beer just never seems to go together too well. Beer Junction definitely is on the better side of updates. I just see a process that nobody has really nailed yet.

But on topic, grabbed some La Terroir. That price is insane. A quick BA search shows that other states have it for upwards of $18 this year.

 

I need to buy some before they do.

 

Just opened my first-ever bottle of this. Easily my favorite beer from the Lips of Faith line.

Malt & Vine had a single bottle left. Which is now very mine.

 

I just got back from my weekly Saturday morning beer run to Chuck's while my daughter was in ballet. Apparently they didn't get the memo, bottles are $16.59. I have a feeling they'll be there for a while.

I did, however, pick up the very last bottle of Velvet Merkin from behind the counter. I wasn't even aware that one was in Seattle, don't recall seeing anything about it on here.

 

Just picked one up for $8 at 99 Bottles, looked like they had plenty left too!

 

Has this hit Snohomish County? Haven't seen it yet?

 

Still plenty at beer junction and beer authority. Plenty of velvet Merkin too.

 

Similar price at Beer Junction. 99 Bottles still had it at $8 as of last night.

 

It was supposed to be in the 15 dollar range just as La Folie, but there was some UPC barcode issue so it is around half of that price on shelves, error in the consumers favor!!

 

There isn't any live yeast/bacteria in this, is there? Cellaring it wouldn't really cause it to develop further, right? I seem to recall that's the case for NB sours in general but wanted to double check. Enjoying one right now - mighty good, and for $8 I'll probably pick up another bottle or two if I see it around.

 

They had like four cases out when I was there this weekend. I imagine it'll be around long enough to snag some!

For the record, Le Terroir should retail at $7.99, same as the rest of the LOF series, except La Folie and Transatlantique.

Does this mean the stores charging $16/bottle (or more) are doing a 100% markup? What's all this about a UPC error? (see above)
