This is an amazing batch. $9.99 a bottle at my local store. Worth it. I wish it cost less (it's usually $8.99).

I really love me some Enjoy By. But the thing that amuses me about it is the way the labeling/name affects people's impression of the taste of the beer. I think the ever-changing date subconsciously suggests to people that the beer is different--even if slightly--from batch to batch even though I imagine that Stone brews Enjoy By using the same method they do for all their regular beers. The only difference is that it comes in a bomber instead of a six-pack and has the 'best by' date silkscreened right on the bottle as the label.

But you never really hear people talking about Levitation from batch to batch tasting slightly different, for example. It's just one of those quirky things--I even find myself feeling like it's different even though I know intellectually it isn't.

I was able to get the 9.13.13 without any limits for $5.99 (it came to Kansas and Missouri), but I had to scrounge to get one bottle of the 10.25.13 and for $7.99. Oh well. Worth it at both prices.

9/13 was distributed to NY, and the "find Enjoy By" on Stone's website even said it was at my local bottle shop, but when I asked, they had no idea what I was talking about.

My ABC on Fletcher (Tampa, FL) had a case for all of 2 hours, never seen an IPA sell so fast in the ghetto lmao

I almost felt guilty but I found a spot in Maryville MO that had these priced at $2/ bottle. I may have bought a few.

so i have had a few bottles of this over the last couple months... and i just picked one up tonight.

i don't know about "taste memory" -- but there is no way in which i would say this beer has suffered at all. it is still very fresh tasting, much like i remember the previous bottles.

i think the deadication to freshness is outstanding. but where we need this attention most is with the distributors and the guys who don't date. see the new FW packaging with VERY very clear dating. impressive. i think if the beer truck guy takes it off the shelf at one store, it just gets moved to the next stop.

i will buy some more of this 10.25 but only at a discount. :grinning:

Stones is in KS now? Guess it's been a while since I've purchased any beer there; 1.5 years plus or longer:grimacing:

The 2 batches I got to try were stellar. I did keep a second bottle & tried it closer to the "enjoy by" date & the hops were fairly muted, not bad, but not near as prominent.

I have 1 bottle of the 10 I bought left. I'm in no rush to drink it - considering I drank 9 already I'm kinda burnt out on them, not complaining though I loved them.

Bevmo still had a few on Monday so I bought one.had a $10 off coupon if I spent $100 so I bought a few things including wine. Also got a recommendation for something from Austrailia called Epic ? 10.99 for a pint bottle but very good.

The Enjoy By ? Still tasted just as great as ever when I had it on Wed night.

Edit: It was probably Armageddon (how could I forget 6.66% ?) and it's actually from NZ.
