Got there today around 1pm, struck out but got to taste it on draft. Limit after noon was apparently 0/person.

Any idea on total bottle count? Seems to be pretty high this year even though they are selling out

They said on Facebook that they sold 95 cases yesterday and would release 27 cases per day through Sunday. So, 230 cases.

Not sure if/how their capacity has changed relative to last year, but they may have fewer total bottles available than in 2012, as they also mentioned on Facebook that they kegged twice as much this year so that it would remain available on tap for more of the month.

Sounds like if you want bottles, plan to arrive at opening sometime between now and Sunday.

I struck out today and have no plans of going back, too far from the homestead. FFaC draft is amazing this year PERIOD. I got to road trip with my father, drink a perfect beer at a great pub, and cruise down to Sausalito for some lazyman's cioppino. When you get in your mid-thirties and have children of your own, these are memories you cherish. Good luck all BA's in bottle pickups, don't be crushed or disappointed if you miss out, relax, sit at the bar and enjoy the beer that is Framboise For a Cure 2013.

And buy some pliny bottled 9/30

Winning the raffle and making a joke about it = trolling? LOL. Let me guess, you had fun once and didn't like it.

As for FfaC, one of the servers told me it was the same batch size as last year. I seem to recall that was ~2400 bottles. The number above (230 cases) suggests that's pretty accurate.

Sadly, there's not a lot of concrete information on this. I get the feeling RR doesn't want a shitshow, which is why they're not releasing much information. The pub was relatively empty last night, too.

Anybody recall how long it lasted on tap last year? Looks like I may strike out on bottles, so getting my fill on tap may be the only way to go.

Every special release at RR seems to be designed to turn off, and turn away, people who just want to try their beers. I live in Marin and made the trip a couple of times to try and taste this years PtY, only to find a line around the block full of people who I wouldn't want to spend 3+ hours with. Now with FfaC it seems you have to be unemployed, or somehow otherwise available to be at a pub by 11am. Am I wrong in wishing they could just find a way to release a beer without making us jump through hoops to try it?

you don't have to jump through any hoops to try it. just go to the bar and order one.

if you want bottles it's a different story : )

How is their fault that there are too many people at their bar buying the bottles? What hoops are you jumping through?

Man, people complain about everything now. Christ.

I generally dislike people everywhere, not just the ones at RR, and I find the unemployed people in santa rosa to be outside the pub, not inside spending $90 on what amounts to 2.25 L of liquid.
You sound like an entitled prick. If you dont like the system you dont have to get it. Also if you act nicely and say the magic word, perhaps a nice BA would have snagged you one.

Do we really need this character assassination? It was one action from this person that seems entitled. We know nothing else about him. For example, I could say "You appear to be an assumptive jackass." However, I could more precisely say, "You are making a lot of assumptions about person X." I don't know that you are a jackass, but I do know that you make assumptions.

'sound like' is not the same as saying you are something. I didnt call him a name or 'assasinate his character'. I said how he came off based on what he said and not anything else.
I did not say 'you appear to be' because that would be alluding to what he is. I dont know if he is an entitled prick, that would have been an assumption on my part
The poster sounded uptight and angry. He singled out those at RR as possibly being unemployed for being able to get to a beer release. Kinda harsh.

Perhaps it was I who was being imprecise in my reading of your comment. I am surely projecting a bit.

Nah its all good. This is beer, and (IMO) constructive criticism should not just be welcomed, but encouraged. The poster's post did not come off as constructive, but as elitist whining.
I am sure the poster has some ideas on this process could be improved and I (and others I assume) would love to hear them

    Now a limit if 3.

    From Facebook:
In an effort to spread the love with the Framboise bottles, we are going to a 3 bottle limit today. But we still have plenty on draft and 100% of the proceeds of all Framboise sold is going to help women and menin their fight against Breast Cancer! In other fun news, we are releasing 2 beers today at the pub only: Saison Blonde and Hopfather IPA! Growlers available to go for both. Thank you, Amir, for sporting the pink beard . Lets raise lots of money for the cause today!
