double sunshine is an amazing beer. i got lucky myself and did an ip trade from a guy who has a house up there and lives round my way.

 

I'm still working on talking my wife into a long weekend of "leaf peeping" in New England this fall.
Peekskill, NEBco, Heady Topper, Hill Farmstead and Lawsons were all on the want to find list.
Not an easy sell once she realized that most of the pretty trees she'd be seeing would be out the car window while I drove to the next brewery or beer store.

 

i like your style. that would be a great vacation. we want to fly out to cali and hit russian river, lagunitas, bear republic, etc., and then hit up black hole in prescott arizona, which would be pretty awesome. who is coming with me?

Rare Barrel should be opening in Berkeley in the next few months, as well. I'd be down to meet up and join in the fun, for sure. Similarly, I'm hoping to be back in PA some time soon... what part of PA are you in, Houser?

im in pottstown, which isnt too far from philly, but in the middle of king of prussia and reading. im actually pretty close to all the people from pa in the original bif (except for oldrati who goes to school out west).

 

Cool. I'm originally from York, and will be back in the York/Harrisburg area, probably for about a week around the holidays or early new year depending upon how work's going. I don't know if there are any releases in PA (Troegs, maybe) that might influence what dates I'd choose to be in PA, but if you know of any, let me know...

 

Hey now, I'm FROM the Philly area too. I get back out there a few times a year. I'll be home from December 15th thru January 3rd if any of you guys want to try to meet up and share some beers. I have some Voodoo beers I need to share

 

If we are doing a Philly area meet and drink I'll be home from December 31st to January 4th. The best part is I'm driving to PA in a truck. I can fit all the Florida beers you want in the back.

 

This PA thing is sounding better and better. Philly area meet-up sounds like a pretty legit idea. I'll pack a checked bag full of CA goodies to-order if this is happening.

 

I'm only about 1.5 hours away from Philly so I might be down for the drive.

 

didnt mean to count you out. youre closer to philly than i am. definitely up for getting together around the holidays, especially if we get a cali transplant to join us.

thats cool. my cousins live in the york area. go out there once or twice a year. been wanting to hit up troegs for a while now.

 

im totally down for this. although ive never met him, im sure zekeman would be down for it too. come to think of it, hophead lives in philly (although im not sure if he is still in this bif).

 

Up, down, whatever, I'm in---looks like Thurs Jan 2nd would be the overlap date of Steve and 3Fishes.

 

That date should work for me. I'll be in Vermont (hopefully) from Dec. 19th until Dec. 23rd on a snowboarding trip. Hoping to be able to hit up The Alchemist for some fresh Topper and (maybe) head up to Hill Farmstead if I can swing it.
