Agreed, I like this one too - like a red IPA but not hopbound, nicely balanced. Anchor never loses sight of the malt in their beers and ths one is a winner.

Like SkeeterBoganski did yesterday, I had one next to a Pliny a bit ago. They are so close and good in their own way, I couldn't declare a favorite. Aroma was the same to me. The flavor between the two had subtle differences. It's a win-win!

A gorgeous day here in Charlottesville, VA. After sampling some excellent beers from two local heroes Champion and Three Notch'd, spent some time with a new classic:[IMG]

So, so good! Even if the Bucs are now 0-6, this helps ease some of the pain.

As someone who gets Pluny delivered each an every Tuesday to my Whole Foods (we're 30 miles from the brewery), I'd prefer Dirt Wolf each and every time over PtE, which IMHO is wayyyyyyy over rated.

Eagles lost ugh, Lions lost ugh, Tigers lost last night ugh. Red wings lost last night. Glad the Flyers had a break. At least the Wolverines won this weekend, about the only good thing any of my sports teams did.

At least this is drinkin' great.

    Cheers BA's!
