SN Beer Camp #93 IPA...think I got a bad bottle or something. Says Citra hops were used, and other reviews talk about tropical fruit and such, but this tastes like flat bitterness with nothing else.

Just had a Scotty Karate, followed by a couple Citra Dog. Might go get a Firefly Amber or Mystic Mama IPA out. Still got a couple Citra Dog left though, might have another one.

First time having this and it's delicious. Pairing it with a chocolate brownie.

A small tasting with lunarbrew. We can all agree that Hill Farmstead is one world-class brewery.

I'm glad you enjoyed them but I hope you have better beer nights soon.
Zombie dust is great. Double Trouble is a few months old at this point and has lost the "bite" that makes it great. And Sculpin. I can do without it. I think it is overpriced and underwhelming.

Since you are in Minnesota let me suggest these 3 that are availae in your State
    Surly Furious
    Tallgrass Ethos
    Bell's Two Hearted
    Hop Dish. (Ok thats 4)

    Cheers

How does double trouble age? I love the beer but have been skeptical to pick it up lately, as it was last brewed in April.

The sweetness is probably because it's an English-style IPA, not your typical American hopbomb.

Yeah it is tasting aged...I just poured that one when I posted this....drinking a little more like a Barley Wine...definitely not fresh..

Good suggestions.....locally I think if I was going pale ale, IPA, double IPA with what I could get in the area it would be this..

Pale Ale: Psuedo Sue or Indeed Day Tripper..lean to Sue but splitting hairs although they are drastically different in flavor
IPA: Hopdish (so many others right up there but this was my pick twice in two different blind tasters with all the big hitters)
DIPA: Hopslam (Abrasive right there..again totally different but right there)

Cooked some weisswurst in Spaten Optimator, garlic and onions. Some garlic bread poatos and sauerkraut.

First I'm going to drink the one on the left. Then I'm going to drink the one on the right. Getting ready for Bayern Munich tomorrow.

was it worth the purchase? I picked up some FW instead because TIPAs are usually a bit too boozy for an every day IPA. I might get it next time

Had a couple golden road brews. Heal the Bay IPA and Wolf Amongst Weeds.

Have to say I preferred Heal the Bay, it was 4 months old and held up well.
