Wait, Sprecher is coming to Texas? My stash from my fiancee's family in Milwaukee will be rendered moot! Egads!

She swears by their root beer too, which we've long had in Texas.

 

I've been buying the Hard Root Beer for a few months. Haven't seen much else from them.

 

Interesting. Anybody seen it in Houston? Guess I haven't been looking. When I was at the brewery a year ago, they knew Texas was tough to get into.

 

What part of Texas are you in? We have been getting some Sprecher in DFW for a few months now...

 

Houston. Regularly pick up root beer for the gf from CM, but haven't seen the beer. Guess I haven't been looking.

 

Damn, I have been the exact opposite- hadn't seen the root beer

 

Looks like they have three distributors, but only Mayan Distribution out of Austin has the beer. BEK and Redstone Foods handle the soda only. Maybe that's why I haven't seen the beer in Houston.

 

Is the hard root beer in DFW?

 

Where have you seen this in H-town?

Sprecher Black Lager is legit. It's so rich it drinks like a porter or stout.

 

I bought some during my last trip to Austin, AR Release, and shortly after I got back to Houston the Hard Root beer was for sale at Spec's Smith St. I didn't see any last time I was at Spec's, but I remember the tweet about it.

*Edit: I tried to go back and find the tweet, but I couldn't find it. I guess I was mistaken.

I don't think so. Central Market has the regular root beer, but not the BBA (hard) version. BEK does not distribute their alcoholic beverages.
