KRBC Dirty Hippie is my favorite beer. Great flavor profile and easy drinking.

Ninkasi Believer sets the standard. Followed by these amazing brews:
    Hopworks Galactic Red
    Bridgeport Kingpin
Port Brewing Shark Attack Double Red
    Lagunitas Lucky 13

Alesmith Evil Dead Red is out right now. Technically not "imperial", but at 6.66% (appropriately enough), it comes close, depending on who you ask. Plus the bottle is pretty cool.... Just drill a hole in it, feed a string of lights through, and display it for halloween! I did.

I didn't enjoy Nugget Nectar that much. I only had one bottle, so I do need to try again. I thought Zoe was pretty good.

I'm pretty sure Nugget Nectar and Zoe are technically ambers for what it's worth.

Just tried Dirty Hippie and thought it was fantastic. Locally I'm a big fan of Pipeworks Blood of the Unicorn and Sam vs Unicorn.. I was not a fan of tongue buckler though found it too bitter and lacking that nice balance I find in most reds. Cool topic, was actually just talking about good imperial reds with the boyfrand last night.

I agree with Nugget Nectar being more like an amber IPA. Haven't had Zoe yet. Sounds like I need to try Dirty Hippie, amongst others. Thanks!

I just picked up a bottle of that this past weekend while in IL. I'm anxious to give it a try. That's one bottle that I'm going to hold on to when the beer's gone.
