I didn't see any recent threads on this subject---although the moderator may prove me wrong--- but I'll most likely be in San Antonio next week and I'm curious to know where I must grab a beer or five.

Freetail seems to be a must, agreed?

    Any other breweries?

    Beer bars with incredible taps?

    Best bottle shop?

I enjoyed The Friendly Spot when I visited San Antonio last year.

Friendly Spot seems to get people riled up. What's the story there?

I moved your thread to the US - Southwest forum, where there are several "visiting San Antonio" threads posted in recent months
    Cheers,

I had a feeling I was wrong. Only looked on Page 1 of search results. I promise I'll go at least two pages next time. Haha.

    Thank you, sir.

Freetail should have some good beer on tap next week after the La Muerta release this Saturday.

Big Hops is worth a visit.

Friendly Spot and their sister restaurant Tuk Tuk Taproom have a lot of taps but definitely are overpriced.

The Cove has 40 TX taps in the back but serve in plastic cups.

The Luxury has great sandwiches and close to 20 taps.

Luke happy hour on Riverwalk. 50 cent oysters & 1/2 price beers. 6 taps.

Stella Public House in Blue Star Arts complex. Around 15 taps. Usually well thought out list.

We'd love to have you out to Branchline Brewing. We are open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4-10, and on Saturdays from 12-10. Definitely hit up Freetail and Big Hops as well!

I'd definitely pay a visit if I could, but I will be carless and this looks a bit far from the Riverwalk where I'll be staying. Any other locations sell your beer?

Pretty much all the bars that have been named in this thread carry our beer. If you can make it out to Freetail, I believe they may have our Oyster Stout on tap right now. Kill two birds with one stone!

The Granary and Freetail are both awesome and must visits. I think I have reviews of both

Blue Star....you can skip it. Trust me. I made that mistake once.

There is a bottleshop called Gabriel's really close to Freetail. Also, some of the local HEBs have a decent selection. Of course Spec's is a go-to.

You could do The Flying Saucer. It's a chain, but with a substantial beer list.

BTW, I was born in NM, so you can trust me.

Ha, I was the OP on their facebook page, never thought it would go that far.

Freetail, The Granary, Big Hops Growler Station, The Saucer, The Cove.

I usually go to Gabriel's at Blanco and 1604 and Specs DeZavala for bottles. Freetail has bottles to go as well.

I'd like to add about The Granary that their BBQ is very good. Lunch is market style where you buy everything by the half pound and dinner is sort of a culinary experience and you could easily drop $40-50 on food and beer. Anyways, the beer they brew is good and they pretty much always have a cask of their beer or a local beer.
