What's your favorite Tripel?

Sometimes McNellie's in Norman gets bernardus 12 on tap. Freaking amazing.

 

Here are some of my favorite Tripels (Rockmill)

No! It's Maredsous 10...Maredsous 10 is soooo good.
Oh. Oooooooo, nooo wait a minute, what about Gouden Carolus? It's sublime.
Dammit! It's Tripel Karmeliet! Tripel Karmeliet! Tripel Karmeliet!!!

I just had a large Westmalle tonight as the sun set in a blood red sky.
Yeah, yeeeeah. My favorite is Westmalle. The first Tripel.
Good old Westmalle Tripel is it!

Yes. Rockmill ales are all spectacular. Nice to see these pics. The Belgian style Triples they brew are damn near perfect...in my humblest opinion. The mineral content of the water that they brew with comes from the river that runs along side this beautiful farm brewery. Apparently this water is very similar to that of the rivers in the Wallonia region of Belgium. Hence the amazing results they achieve. I love these ales. Nice people too, and a very special place to visit.

 

in Belgium we call that one "trappiste de friterie"

 

I've recently had Cisco's Island Reserve Tripel and loved it! May not be considered the best tripel in the world, but it is definitely my personal favorite so far.

 

I am curious to know what at this point in time you guys think the best tripel is? My favorite beer of all time is La Fin du Monde although there is so much good stuff out there with so many new brewery's including and brew pubs that I am not at all surprised that you guys will have divergent opinions and I sure would like some new information. My favorite brewery or pub/brew is Tired Hands and boy do they make some good stuff.But it is not commercially available. Anyway go right ahead:

Chimay White is my favorite, but I think La Fin du Monde is the best example of what mat be my favorite style.

 

Huge fan of Boulevard's Long Strange Tripel. Top spots go to La Fin du Monde and St. Bernardus.

Westmalle is my STANDARD for the style. IF you could go to Bruges and de Garre, their house tripel is also Very good.

In fact on some days its better than Westmalle, but maybe its just the atmosphere....
