I agree and it cost nearly $20 for 6.

Flying Monkeys City & Colour Imperial Maple Wheat Ale. This was a collaboration between the brewery and the band City & Colour and the sweet sticky mess they came up with was just abhorrent!

I believe this to be the worst serious answer in the thread. That beer is delicious.

Truer words were never said, I love the rest of their stuff but the pils is just not good . Thought I might have it wrong after the first 6 so I gave it another shot, no dice...

Surprised me too. I think this is easily one of the best brewed in the US. But we all have different tastes, so I can respect that. What is it about that beer that doesn't seem right to you?

I was rolling with the Great Divide train - new to my area this past year, I've been loving every single release as I've encountered it - but they make a witbier, Heyday - not a familiar/favorite style - and it was simply "meh" - but it could simply be me - it has (to-date) been there only less-than-exceptional beer.

I seriously begin salivating whenever I see that label. One of my favorite beers from a great brewery.

How about "good" breweries that usually make shitty beer. Mikkeller is soo bad most of the time. 1000 IBUs was a nightmare. Black tasted like bandaids. Santa's Little Helper 2012 was good, but it's the only good one I've had so far. They just seem over-hyped because of their "gypsy" brewing.

I always find these posts interesting. Many of them don't remotely mirror others people tastes. Look at some of the beers that have been posted and compare them to popular opinion. I've raised a brow to a good many of them. :astonished: It's just a few people's independent thoughts on beers. I only agree if the post seems mean spirited and not factually supported. We all have the right not to enjoy a certain beer. I think that's also part of enjoyment.

    This is easy.

    Mole by SKA Brewing

Tasted like they used Taco Bell seasoning to flavor the beer. Made me sick

    That hurt a little bit.

I love Golden Monkey. Golden Monkey is magical. Seek (drink enough) and you will find "the golden soul that glows with the wisdom of the ages". Poor, poor little Golden Monkey...I'll drink you...yes, yes I will, because you are MY little friend. : )

I gave it a 3.69. I don't think it will get higher points no matter how many more times I try it.

You know, you're right. With all the beers I've tried over the years, a 3.69 IS solid.

Thanks! My annual "being right" event. Thought it wasn't going to happen this year.
