$4 at Wegmans and I picked up a sizer of Brown Shugga.

 

On the shelf at Martignetti's. $5/bottle.

How are places selling it for less than the brewery?

 

That's standard practice. If it's cheaper for the consumer at the brewery then there's no incentive for the consumer to shop at a liquor store. If a brewery were up the road from my store and selling their product for less than I could there's no way I'd ever carry their product.

 

Stopped by the brewery today - still a lot of it (Julio's also had it, but I didn't see any at Craft Beer in Newton).
I was looking forward to this, since I thought Mass Rising and Hoponius Union were very (for lack of better adjectives) clean, bright and smooth - but the sample of Kiwi Rising I had from the tap was muddled and bitter - really offputting - didn't even bother buying a bottle.
Also they were out of the BA Coconut Almond Smoke & Dagger (a tweet would have been nice).
Did pick up a Baby Maker (still a lot left) - hopefully that will be good.

Off topic but did Wegmans have Kiwi yet. Was hoping to score it a little cheaper than $5. Wegmans is always my go to for value. They sell cheaper than brewery

Anyone else underwhelmed with it? I had it for the first time Thursday and thought it was just ok. I enjoyed Mass Rising much more.

 

My first two bottles didnt remind me of last year. Slightly bitter and muddled tasting to me. Hoping the rest of the bottles clear up.

 

i had it on tap at stoddards yesterday cheers Matt for the heads up. While it was not as good as I remember it from last year it was still very good. I picked up 11 bottles the last few days, at least 4 are going to a friend in CA who loved it last year.

 

Though it was good, but enjoyed 2nd Anniversary more. ALSO, thought 2nd Anny was better than Mass Rising. I didn't dig those subtle changes.

 

Picked up 8 more this weekend ranging from $4 - $5. Had a couple on tap at Christopher's in Porter on Saturday - thought it was a bit boozier/drier on tap but still worthwhile. A few of these, some Heady Toppers, homebrewed IPA, and Founder's all-day in cans made for quite a hoppy weekend.

 

Picked on up for $4.95 at Kappy's in Medford, they had at least a few more left. I thought it was excellent.

 

Has anyone seen this around the Seekonk/Somerset/Swansea area? It's on the way back from work for me so I'd like to grab a bottle. As of Friday, Yankee in Swansea didn't have it yet.

 

any still left around Springfield or between there and Hartford?
