Alchemy Hour - They outdid themselves with this offering

Conway's Irish Ale - My gateway beer into the craft world. Hard to find a better beer for St. Patty's Day. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, so I had to get it on the board.

You spoiled, spoiled man. How I wish I could walk into a bar in Rhode Island and get a pint of Edmund Fitz or Dortmunder Gold!

I think Elliot Ness is a pretty underrated brew from Great Lakes... definitely one of my favorites. Their Christmas Ale is very good as well. Nosferatu is probably my overall favorite from them.

It's hard to beat Edmud Fitz on tap.

Alchemy Hour by a considerable margin. Octoberfest, Ed Fitz, and Nosferatu are also great.

Alchemy hour is awesome! Nosferatu is great also. I would have to give the nod to Edmund Fitzgerald though because it is year round!

I am in the same boat you ddedhed. I consider Great Lakes as my "fall back" choice. If I can't find anything new or exotic I go to Great Lakes. If I ever move away from the NEO area I don't know what I'lll do.

As a side note have you tried Market Garden's Festivus?

Dortmunder Gold is an amazing everyday-type beer. Their best big, special beer I've had is Lake Erie Monster....definitely one of my favorite big IPAs.

The only one I've had is Commodore Perry, it's one of the few craft beers they have at my favorite local restaurant, so that's what I get. It is quite good!

Alchemy Hour is hands down my favorite IPA. Much more tropical/sweet fruit, as opposed to the grassier/pine Heady/Pliny beers of the world.

Blackout stout is amazing, and this is probably heresy, but I might actually prefer it to the BA version.

I've gotta say the beer formerly known as Alchemy Hour, but really, Great Lakes is one of the most consistently great breweries around. I have never had a beer from them that I would rate less than 3.5/5, and they have a great variety of styles. I'd love to see them dip into even more experimental stuff (sours particularly), but I am definitely content with what they produce since it is all so fantastic. When I see "Great Lakes" on a package, I know it won't let me down. They're a top five brewery for me.

I am in SW Ohio. I have been to Market Garden once, but do not recall having Festivus.

I like their Oktoberfest and Christmas Ale both quite a bit.

For year round beers, it has to be Edmund Fitzgerald. I surprisingly haven't been too wild about their IPAs.

Big fan of Dortmunder Gold and Christmas Ale. I don't like Edmund Fitz as much as most people do.
