I had a big bottle collection that I ended up sizing down when I moved. They were not rare but held sentimental value because I picked most of them up in my trips to Portland, some from the actual breweries. They fit nicely on top of my cabinets in my kitchen.

My main thing is bottlecaps, but I collect both bottles and cans, too. I only keep a can or bottle if it is really old or rare, like an anniversary beer or one that commemorates an event (Super Bowl, Sturgis< etc.). Or really cool painted bottles like BA Bigfoot. They take up so much space that I have to be very choosy.

I only have a few bottles and cans I saved. I mainly collect bottle caps and coasters.

I have almost 1,800 bottles now (including ~ 20 cans), but only around 1,200-1,300 on display in my basement man cave. I've run out of room, so I have the rest in boxes until I can figure out how to create more display space.

Yeah, they are just generic coasters/reproductions of generic labels that my daughter created and installed for a surprise for my birthday a few years ago. There are some garlands with 20-30 coasters, and some stringers with 4-5 coasters that just hang straight down. I'm not sure if any of those stringers are visible in the photo, because the wide collage requires that the individual photos be kept small, thus it's hard to see some things.

Something that you would appreciate, SirBottleCap, is that the heat duct on the ceiling is in the process of being covered with the caps from many of these bottles. (This is a project that I started after this photo collage was created.) I have about 1,000 caps so far that have been turned into magnets and stuck onto the bottom of the section nearest the bar, and about 2,500 caps yet to do. (A photo to come when completed.)

Wow Mothergoose, that's a crazy collection!

I would collect bottles, but honestly my girlfriend would certainly murder me in my sleep, considering the amount of space my glass collection has started to take up..

i collect bottles, mostly from local craft brewers, and some from out of state brewers that i really love, im planning on eventually building some shelving for them, in almost a shadowbox type of display, to hang on the walls in my basement bar area

I collect bottles based on the art work or unopened bmc beers from the past. My buddy actually just gave me a bottle of Anheusers World Lager.

Nice collection! Congrats on keeping the cap with the bottle too! I didn't try to see what the bottles are for any certain rarities, but one that is so easy to see because it stands out with its bright red color is the Duff beer bottle. You have to be a traveler or a trader to get some of those.

I'm a traveller... and I opten haul back new beers to taste them at home. It's almost a necessity due to the fact that I live in a small country of Slovenia where beer offer is quite limited.

Maybe I should start trading too. Will see.

Ha! That Duff was the first one I saw! I hear it's worse than the worst. Great cap, however!

And my fiance thinks I have a problem because I soak off the labels from all my beers? Wow!

A thousand labels takes up the space of about an 8 1/2 x 11 envelope.
