What beer are you drinking now? #396

love that beer, but its pricey.

 

Trying a Too Cream stout by Dark horse brewery for the first time and I am impressed. Enjoyin a day off, getting ready to scratch make a big batch of spaghetti and meatballs. Have a good one and a cold one all.

 

Only $8 at my local store, so i cant complain

 

well thats 8 a bomber, cheaper to buy 6 founders or bells at 10 or less for me. still great beer, I had 2 and I am done...

Last year's was great, one of my favs from NG. I've not had the 2013 version yet, but having had their stuff before, it's safe to say that anytime New Glarus and fruit come together, that beer = world class.

 

Love that brew!

 

What did you think of this? I've had a bottle for a couple weeks but haven't got around to trying it.

 

Beer review #510. Local Option Morning Wood.
Surprisingly well done.

 

I wasn't crazy about it. I see that a lot of people here have really liked it. I thought that it had too much hop character and too much alcohol. Plus it had an off flavor in a bit of metallic taste. I felt that the beer was trying to be two things at once. The body of the beer was flat and stagnant and the pilsner type flavors did not go well with either the alcohol or the oily hops. The yeast was kind of sour, the fruit was kind of strong and I gave it a 3.3.

 

There's a half gallon of apple cider in my fridge right now!

Sweet and citrusy up front with a very bitter, lingering finish.

 

if i sledge hammered my computer to death, i wouldn't be able to get on the ba site. so instead i'll just have a sierra nevada celebration to calm me down.
