Was the cherry one released during the same time? I'm wondering because my locals have the bourbon but I want the cherry as well, but didn't see it.

Cherry came out at the end of October In PDX. I just saw it at NWIPA last week

Not sure what the 'natural flavors' are here - I'll pass as I have a nice stash of BCBS already.

I am fully on the BBA biscotti train, it is just a fantastic beer. Very rarely do I think $20+ for a beer is worth it but in this case I would easily buy more if available.

If anyone has an extra and wants some event horizon I would be willing to do an EH, and 2 bcbs for this.

Coffee, chocolate, and almond I think. "Natural flavors" is just a label requirement for beers that include added ingredients. It doesn't mean that they used extracts or "flavoring". Fairly certain the beer is made with roasted almonds and cold pressed coffee. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Had this for the second time this past weekend at a share and it is a rich, decadent beer for sure. Very thick and chocolaty for a bba beer. I really like it. I could see it being a little too sweet for some people.

Interesting, because I see a lot of beers (BCBS coffee, etc) that don't say natural flavoring added, yet it seems to be cropping up on a lot of Evil Twin beers lately. Bozo Beer, etc. Just curious what's going in there.

BCBCS has only one natural flavor added so they just put "stout aged in bourbon barrels with coffee added"

Presumably Evil Twin could have listed them all but chose "natural flavors" added instead.

Regardless, when it is more than "just beer" label requirements force you to tell the consumer.

And yes I do realize there are some pretty "interesting" things that qualify as natural flavor.

Even though I've been interested to try it for some time, whenever I've seen the regular Biscotti Break I have passed on it because it's always $18-19 or 82 cents or more an ounce for 22 oz. Even BCBCS is only 48 cents an ounce when you buy it in fourpacks. I suppose tacking on another $6-8 or 27+ cents an ounce for bourbon barrel aging is understandable. However since I feel that the coffee flavor in fresh BCBCS overpowers rather than blends favorably with the bourbon flavor in regular BCBS, I'm wondering if the same applies to the original Biscotti Break flavor when it is aged in bourbon barrels. Sometimes adding more flavoring does not create a better beer.

A local shop has non-barrel aged on tap for $39.99 a growler. Seemed way too pricey to me, but I was only afforded a 1oz sample. What I had was nice, but I'd only buy it at a quarter of the price.

We only use "natural flavours", no extracts. Vanilla, coffee (brewed hot) and roasted almonds. Real chili for DeCicco and real hazelnut.

Label requirement, we know it sounds stupid with natutal flavor added.

Bozo beer are all "real" things added as well. To much to list here, but check the label text......

I was able to pick up a few of these along with the imperial and the cherry. I have to say IMO the BA was the best. The imperial was good as well but the cherry though good was lacking a bit. It wasn't as rich as the BA or the Imperial and the cherry was very very light. I really couldn't even taste it. In retrospect the sam adams cherry chocolate bock had a lot more cherry. Sort of sad when you think about the cost of the biscotti break.
