    In the spirit of the holiday and by order of my wife telling me to get rid of these extra empty bottle shippers, I'd like to offer 3, 12 bottle shippers full of beer to members of our military. The boxes will contain 22's or 750's of varying styles (nothing expired), that have been properly cellared with the shipping costs at my expense. This is just a way of showing some holiday gratitude to those who serve and have likely spent some of these holidays away from their own families protecting our freedoms.

    It will simply work like this:

    I will send a box out to the first 3 military members (active, reserve or guard) that returned from a combat area in the last 6 months. Simply reply to this thread with branch, area served, and your return date. We'll then connect via beermail and grab your details for shipping with hopes to have this to you for a New Year's celebration.

    Can i nominate my brother in-law? He got back in June, and this would be a great surprise for him.

    My preference is to look for folks who are fellow BA's and contributors here. However, I'd be willling to do a separate, likely smaller box for him.

    I guess my parameters were too tight. Lets do this:

    I will send a box out to the first 3 military members (active, reserve or guard) that returned from a combat area in 2013 or has served previous and is to be redeployed in the next 6 months. Simply reply to this thread with branch, area served, and your return date. We'll then connect via beermail and grab your details for shipping with hopes to have this to you for a New Year's celebration.

    I am noting Hotmetal1 as the first and also DoubleORepresenter if you all do fit. If so, that leaves another box.

    Unfortunately, I came back from my last combat deployment nearly two years ago (Iraq). Hopefully some more recently deployed guys come forward in this thread!

    Ahhh I should have stayed in another year! I got back from my second OEF deployment in 2012 and then separated (honorably) from the Marine Corps this past year.

    I did however get responses from 3 "older" veterans, that are of course equally deserving and to which we all owe a great deal of gratitude.

    Very cool thing your doing. I seperated from the Navy honorably after 8 years of service, 2 years ago. Thank you for thinking of my brothers and sisters during the holidays.
