Isn't the simpler solution is not to buy the product at its higher price? As consumers, we have the ultimate voice as to what is the reasonable price for a product. There are other alternatives. If Bevmo has unsold inventory they will lower their price.

Simpler? I would think Deschutes making a call to BevMo would be pretty simple. It would take a huge coordinated effort to make sure most people stay away from BevMo long enough for them to lower the price.

I could care less because I get Abyss from the brewery...I was just surprised it was so expensive. As I suspected and have speculated before, Deschutes doesn't care...after the distributor picks it up, it's out of their hands.

People will still buy it, but the increase in beer prices in recent years makes me chuckle. Abyss is a $12 beer, tops. Beers like Eclipse should be $15, TOPS. Oh well, it's hard to explain to people who don't know better that they are overpaying for beer, especially around here where people generally make quite a bit of money so $20 a bottle is not a big deal.

I imagine that BevMo sells a huge amount of Deschutes beers and Deshutes wouldn't want to cause waves with them.
