I will say in his defense he was the most generous trader I dealt with. The issue for me came from lack of communication and eventual disappearance. He was generous in the past that doesn't make up for not coming through now.

 

I agree @Dicers. I sent him a msg on Stlhops. I feel for him, I do, but I just needed a response. I chalked it up early and let it go, but the selling of our beer stung me. Knowing his troubles I feel bad and would never had said a word had I known. Hope he falls on better luck

 

Just met up w @Dicers for a little swap off the highway. Thanks man for making the detour and thank you @IPAFan521 for the killer secret beers, DOOM which my friend will love you for and the Backyard, totally cool of you man. Plus I got your home brew, might this be an IPA? Also thanks to @jpsboom for the TH growler hook up.

 

@CTJman yes that is a DIPA w/honey. Only my second batch ever so any feedback is appreciated! I need to improve it so sorry if it sucks!!!!! As for the Doom and the Backyard, I hope that your buddy enjoys another bottle of Doom and I hope the Backyard helps ease the sting of the Tertullian trade. If he ever makes good on your original trade then pay the generosity forward. And if not, drink your sorrows away!!

So just as a side note on my homebrew for everyone that has or will have it.

This is my second batch ever brewed.
It is a DIPA with honey
It is called Colette's Centenial DIPA (after my daughter of course)
I plan on mastering this recipe to give her a final product the day she turns 21 and will have a labor done up with the name and her newborn picture on it.
With all of this in mind, it probably makes it taste way better to me personally, so as I have stated, I welcome any and all feedback on this as I am looking to make the perfect beer! (And I have 20 years and 9 months left to get it right!!!!!)

OK, better late than never, here are some pics from last night.
The living room turned into the trading pit, at one point I counted over 30 cases piled up under the Christmas tree. If only Santa was that nice to me...

One hell of a party/share.

Got some great trades done with @Jas45678 and @ThreeFishes (although @ThreeFishes went overboard so I owe him a box in return).

Homebrew contest was great but no one was even close to a match for @ThreeFishes beer. That thing was amazing.

Had a great time talking with everyone and drinking some fantastic beer. @zekeman17 's man cave is awesome for a share. The food he made was excellent and paired well with the beer (of course, by the time I ate a glass of diarrhea may have tasted like chocolate milk from the bladder of a unicorn).

I think myself, @jpsboom, and @smo got a ride back to the hotel somewhere around 9 along with @BorisKarloff and his buddy Josh. Don't remember the name of the kid that @zekeman enslaved to drive our drunken asses home but please thank him as well.

Not sure what happened with the Hangout after a while. Once @IPAFan521 and @UtisTheLaw logged on, I basically stepped away and let it run it's course. Sorry for those that missed out. Oh, and thanks to @Steve_Oldrati for bringing his laptop since I failed at life and forgot mine back home.

We were all fighting for charging spots for phones so eventually I gave up checking stuff in. I think I tried around 25-30 beers or so by the end of the night. My liver is none too happy with me today and my head was not too happy this morning when I woke up. Next time I'm drinking more water in between sips.

Great times overall and looking forward to the next. Let's get this Box moving!

Oh, and don't believe everything you hear! I was not completely butt naked trying to smear Sweet Babay Jesus and peanut butter all over my chest in hopes of reenacting an idea first brought up by @TheBeerAlmanac. That is all.

Hell of a line-up you guys had there. Really makes me hate having to work so much. Although we do have predicted -45ish wind chills here in WI tonight so I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

I think I'm planning on building an igloo and pretending it's Alaska. That's how they handle it up there right @blackcloud?

 

In the interest of full disclosure, work has sent me back to Ohio again (f'ed up project not meeting deadlines and what-not). Because of that, I'm unable to ship the beers until Friday or Saturday at the earliest. PLEASE BELIEVE I'll make up for it with some sweet extras for the next target. Speaking of which....

Nana!!! Yeah -40 wind chill here tonight and tomorrow, but of course my work is still open even though banks and FedEx are closed tomorrow!!!
