IMO, to stop in Villa Park on way to Bartlett is asking a bit much. Shaumburg area would be a much more feasible option. Half Acre is available there as would be a Binny's somewhere near. As for the above three, Ardmore would be my only stop. Good for local bombers. Sal's really doesn't have that much, and Foremost prices are all over the map. I've never seen Half Acre at any of them, either (closest Half Acre I've seen would be Mariano's in Elmhurst).

Thanks again for all the recommendations guys. I've got a pretty decent haul packed away in my luggage. Now actually making it back with the beer is a different story... Flight today was cancelled. So, I'll be leaving Chicago early Tuesday morning. I'll post my haul once I finally make it back home. Silver lining... I've got a New Glarus variety 12 back to keep me warm.

I gotta say Sproose Joose is the best double IPA I've ever had brewed in WI!

Ok... Flight cancelled again... We are now leaving Wednesday afternoon. I'm getting stir crazy in this hotel. We are right next to Midway Airport in Chicago. Any recommendations on things to do (beer related) in close proximity to the L? I think the shuttle from our hotel will take us to the L. We just don't have any other mode of transportation...

The Orange line gets you to the city in about 30 minutes. An easy transfer in the Loop to the Green or Pink line gets you to Haymarket (Morgan stop). Or you can transfer to the Red line and get to Goose Island easily enough (North/Clybourn stop).

Or if you really want to drink some beer, transfer to the Blue line (at Clark/Lake, not the library stop like the map suggests) and take it to the Damen stop for Piece and then a short walk to Map Room. Then, back on the train to the California stop and stop by Revolution. And if you really like, the Logan Theatre (at the Logan Square stop) has a nice bar and cheap movies.

ETA: The L can take you to a huge number of places -- those are just the ideas that came to me off the top of my head. It just depends how long you want to sit on the train (otherwise I would have suggested some of the spots off the Brown line or even Hopleaf).

Or, hell, after Piece there's Big Star (tacos, Bourbon and 3-4 Three Floyds beers on tap), Bangers & Lace or even Smallbar -- plus lots of smaller shops in the area, making it a nice neighborhood to walk around in (weather notwithstanding).

Thanks again for all the recommendations on breweries, liquor stores, beers, etc.

Not even the great Snowpolarvortexaggedan could stop me from bringing this down:
