Started with a Coop Ale Works F5 IPA (my first can of this, had it many times on tap) & now on to a SouthHampton Keller Pils with some American Horror Story.

Always nice to start off with a good hefeweizen. Andeschs Weissbier Hell. First time having this one. Interested in checking out more from this brewery now.

Just had a half liter of Hofbrau Delicator. Absolutely delicious. One of the best dopplebocks I have ever had!

enjoyed a killer Rangers road win at Chicago, and now REALLY enjoying my first Limbo! I can't get over how flavorful, juicy & hoppy this beer is (and that it was made by Long Trail). Can't get much fresher (bottled 12/26/13 - enlarge the image, you can see it on the neck of the bottle)

Lil' B with a glazed donut. I'm sure it tastes exactly like Imperial Donut Break.

    The new brews Tonight:

This is an awesome IS. Huge amounts of dark chocolate/coffee/deep roast flavors well balanced with the cocoa/molasses additions with a ton of complexity. Fair amount of hop/roast bitterness on the finish, but it is well balanced. Loved it.

Great stuff! Keep your DIPA expectations at the door, because there's hardly any hops. However, the malt/barrel flavors are absolutely delicious. Big caramel/toffee/vanilla/coconut/whiskey/oak/clove/rye/toast with some light citrus/pine hop presence. Felt more like a BA B-wine but I wasn't complaining.

Been sitting around for a year+. Wow this has more malt character than I initially expected, but the acidity is still full force. Big ripe sour cherries/cranberry/raisin/prune/oak/red wine vinegar/leather/toast and some musty funk. I knew this would kick ass.

    Cheers

Really enjoyed Narwhal last year so I bought a 4 pack to age. Drinking the first one tonight.

Pretty tasty. More licorice than I remembered fresh. Pretty interested to revisit the other bottles over time.

not sure if this is a fair assessment of this beer… anyone else get this in the bottle?

I'm trying to drink my way through it, but it has a dry, acidic character, and I am not sure if it's supposed to be that way, or if this is another Dark Horse infection? Thoughts? It might just be a yeast ring/sludge line from shipping flat.

Trying not to give up, and letting it warm up some too…..

No, Imperial Doughnut Break (in a bottle) tastes exactly lik Lil' B. Gonna try it on tap for the first time from the brewery this weekend.
