Joining the Sucks party. Seems better than the last time I had it or maybe my palate is just in a different zone this year. Either way, I'll probably have to re-review it with a few more points. So much tropical, piney, citrus, stone fruit juicy deliciousness. Cheers everybody!

Another new beer for me tonight, Aecht Schenkerla Eiche. (Can anyone help me with the pronuciation?) Very easy drinkin brew and I'm not the biggest smoked beer fan. I find doppelbocks to sometimes be too cloyingly sweet, but in this case the smokiness helps to balance that out. Very good brew for sure.

Not sure, but all of their beers are smoked and are the best in the world. Aecht Schlenkerla Marzen

The first one is getting better as it warms up. Had these in the 34° fridge… maybe they should have been in the stout fridge. Second one is very similar.

    Thanks, Wiggum!

If kept well, all are good- world class for their style for the most part.

That beer isn't really that great an example of anything other than a cheap some what easily forgettable/easily drank beer.
Don't give up on non-stouts ( damn near every thing ) just yet

    Finishers:

Awesome Belgian IPA, I am going to be sad when I run out of these.

Always insane. I am still looking for the clone hopping of this beer.

Always awesome, and the glass is my favorite tulip of all time. It literally gets used daily in my beer pics.

Go to the Germany forum if you are looking for a somewhat passible pronunciation. Eiche means Oak. Different diaclects over there will yield you different pronunciations any how. The only correct one is Franconian :stuck_out_tongue:

But at my bottle shop today, I found a wayward 4 pack… "beer dude" said it was in the wrong spot…

I am glad it found a proper home. reset the counter to "4" please!

Left Hand Nitro Sawtooth, sort of a mixed bag to me & an Ommegang Adoration ( very nice). Ending on a Goose Island 10 Hills APA.

American Horror was choice & Obberman as usual, is very entertaining. Thank God! The kids get to go back to school tomorrow:grinning: Needless to say, I'm happier about it than them. 12" of snow & a little bit of ice hice has yielded these softies 7 school days off so far:grimacing: Thanks Lawyers & shitty civil planners

Last beer for tonight. Vivant Plow Horse. One of those imp stouts that has a lot of that cherry cola type taste. I prefer the more bitter dark chocolate, coffee type of imperial stout, but if you like one with more dark fruit, give this one a try.
