Ugh. Shut up and take my money. Releasing in a week exactly, or same as Nightmare and on Tuesday?

Call them. If I remember, I think the release day listed on the board was January 28th. So I guess a bit more than a week away - I must've brain-farted before.

I showed up about 530 on tuesday, no line. As a matter of fact they were moving about a half pallet of cases of NOB to back to the cooler. Ben said they expected more people to show and he was sort of disapointed. I sat at the bar in front of the cooler door and say the half palett and what looked like a second pallet of NOB in the cooler.

Dam good sour! Anytime I make to Denver I will always hit up CS.

Problem is it's a Tuesday release and they tend to be slower. Also the price is getting up there. Reserve beers this year are going to be $15.

Yeah, $12 for 375 ml already gives me pause....$15 seems insane.

I can only speak for myself - Price will not stop me purchasing CS beers, but it will influence the quantity I purchase. Where before I'd get 5-6 bottles, I only got 3 Nightmares. If the price keeps increasing, I'll eventually whittle down my purchase to 1 or 2 bottles.

You can see why there would be pallets left if other customers made the same decision while CS is simultaneously ramping up production. This is probably good news to distributors, however.

I'm not criticizing CS's pricing strategy - they make great beers. I'm just stating my personal reaction to that pricing strategy.

I agree with you. They can certainly charge what they feel is a price point that will move the most beer and make them the most money...but it's going to cause me to buy less and less. Had the Nightmare been $8-10, I would have bought 6. At $12, I bought 4. At $15...I'd probably buy 1 or 2 as well.

Yeah I was going to buy a few but settles on just 1. Was pretty expensive. But I like the tasting pours. I had tasting pours of evety thing on tap for like $12.

I would think so. I heard (don't know if it's true) that it was going to hit stores. If that's the case then they should have plenty at the brewery.

Davidson's mentioned they had it a couple days ago. I never went though, so no confirmation. Didn't see it at Lukas yesterday, but it might be a Sat 2PM release.

$15 for a 375 ml bottle? I like their stuff, but I guess not that much. They got me at $12 and I think that is probably my limit unless its a new to me release that sounds great and I just need to try.

The only time I've ever gotten Cantillon (over a year ago at Superior), I got a 375 of the gueuze for 10 bucks. Unless there was something I was dying to try, I don't think I could ever go $15 for a 375 of a sour. You can mail-order Cantillon for a much better price than $30/750.

It's MUCH cheaper in stores, FYI. $10.99 at Davidson's
