I refuse to purchase this beer in bottles anymore. I've had two growlers of it, and it was up there with Sucks and Pliny. I bought a bottle one time and it was a giant bitter pine bomb that didn't hold a candle to what it was on tap. That was a few months ago, and recently a friend decided to share a bottle with me (2/14/14). It was pure 100% onion and garlic in the nose and in the mouth. It was disgusting, I couldn't even finish my pour.

My friend even said later that night that his pee smelled like onions. I will only drink this beer on tap.

 

I've had it from bombers and growlers, all were fantastic.

 

Georgia just got some not sure how it happened but who am I to complain?

 

Just picked up two bottles. Hoping for no onion

 

Went into a local place in Kalamazoo for a Lagunitas tasting figuring they would have more Sucks, they did, and imagine my shock when a case of this was sitting on the floor. I didn't even think Michigan was supposed to get this batch let alone West Michigan, we got hosed last time.

 

For GA folks like you (if interested), I make an occasional business trip through ATL once every month or so... with regard to West Coast brews my checked bag can save some serious shipping costs. For this Enjoy By, I just happened to be in a Whole Foods earlier today with 4 cases just sitting there - no limit and no apparent rush out the door like the PtE that was disappearing as I was there.

I know Hopslam hits GA shelves next week and I'm also interested in Heady Topper, Jai Alai or any Eastern-only distribution imperial stouts/porters of note if anyone would like to coordinate around Alpharetta/Dunwoody/Sandy Springs when I make it to your area. ; )


Btw, I'm planning to return to that Whole Foods in an hour or so for a local tasting event. This could be a perfect opportunity to snag more Enjoy By for my GA bretheren.

It's here in KANSAS! Got it in today, was going fast... we have it at $6.49 as do most non big-box stores. $6.99 is common too.

SC was not supposed to get any, but Charleston Beer Exchange posted last night that they have some with no limits. Looks like I'll be getting a bottle or 2 today!
