I ended up placing two orders with them a day apart. The first one arrived in 5 days and the second one didn't ship for 6 days, and arrive until 6 more days after that. I guess it's a bit random.

Ever since the Great Cantillon Purge of 2010 it's been damn near impossible to get. I've only landed one bottle of gueuze this year so far! Unacceptable. And Shelton can suck a big one, too.

Denver/Colorado recently within the past 1.5 months got 25 or so cases to the state. 1900, 2008lp Kriek, classic/bio, gambrinus came.

Thanks for the heads up, I am really excited about this trip and the tour. Whatever I can get I will take as I really want to be able to enjoy the beers a little more often throughout the year!

If the Euro crashes it's going to be just as hard to order Cantillon from overseas as it is to buy it locally... Unless they catch on and jack up prices to account for it, which is quite likely given the way online Euro shops already price by demand a lot better than US stores.

Im ashamed to admit it, but I bought 4 bottles of the classic gueuze at $17 a piece carry out from a dive bar. Ive only once heard of Classic Gueuze coming into the largest store in the area (Sams Quik Shop), and I had to drive 100mph after receiving the text to get a bottle.

3 Fonteinen is even freaking worse. I bought 2 375 mL bottles in like October, and I havent seen a damn bottle since. the Schaerbeekse Kriek sat on shelves for a good 3-4 months, and when I went to buy it, it was gone. fucking hype.

but back to Cantillon. I wouldnt trade your left nut for Rose de Gambrinus. Its good, but Ive had better Strawberry lambics (Hanssens Oudbeitje-also stupidly hard to find). I sent a bottle of the Classic Gueuze in trade for Pliny and Consecration, and kind of regret it since they were from 09.

Basically dont trade for the Classic Gueuze, but buy it on site. Any others buy them. Ive never seen them ever.

Rose de Gambrinus is a framboise by the way. No strawberries, they use raspberries.

My advice, whether you like sours or not, is to head to Belgium. It's a must as a beer geek, and then you can visit Cantillon, meet the owner, go through the self-guided tour and drink/buy plenty of Cantillon there. You can also have plenty of Cantillon in Belgium period, I lived on gueze when I visited there.

Anybody have any experience buying from beer planet (http://www.beerplanet.eu/catalog/index.php)? They have Cantillon among other great Belgian brews. I just want to know if anyone has had them ship to the USA and how it worked out.

Was about to head to the register at one of my favorite shops yesterday after chatting with the owner for a while, who told me I missed out on the 6 bottles of Lou Pepe Kriek he got in the previous week. Oh well, I said, them's the breaks, maybe someday. All of a sudden he says hey, I was cleaning up some loose bottles, look what I found: the last bottle of Lou Pepe. Want it? Yes please. Score! Pays to be friendly and develop a relationship with the beer guys it seems. I make a point of not simply whale-hunting but always buy some good stuff...folks remember that.

Uh, Shelton Brothers distributes in Texas and I have never seen nor heard of this beer being released in Texas. Has someone EVER bought this in Texas? Is it sold in secret, under cover of night?

Ohio just got a shipment in; I was able to score four different cantillon beers at two places. Could have bought one more - St. Lamvinious, but at $35 it stayed on the shelf.
