What beer are you drinking now? #468

Winter warmer or not this is still a tasty beer

 

In celebration of the "warmer" weather I started with Two Hearted and am now drinking a Schlafly TIPA. Delicious.

To quote the Asian dude from Police Academy....I love America!

 

I love a good black IPA. Is this stuff good?

Left Hand Nitro Saw Tooth PA with a Mother's Foggy Notion Barley Wine for the night cap, I think...

 

Started with a 2 month old Jai Alai...if this isn't an advocate for the importance of a fresh IPA, I don't know what is. While good...nowhere near as juicy and delicious as a fresh can.

then split a nice 2012 Pizza Port Santa's Little Helper from the "I meant to drink that" Holiday overflow:


then a great saison from a friend. Mystic Saison.

PS...really enjoying my 8oz Pfriem glass...perfect for bomber pours.

It's about average in the black IPA market, worth a try

 

Had this a little earlier (Austin Beerworks Heavy Machinery Black IPA), and found it to be quite good!

Here's something else from "This Year's Model" that still kicks me in the head...

 

Now onto Wisconsin Brewing Company's American IPA, and yep this is much better than the brown porter. I'm pretty impressed by this. Reminds me of both Sucks and Two Hearted, very different from the IPA Kirby made for Captial. Really nice citrus quality to this one. Now having said all that, the depth of overall flavor is slightly lacking which gives me some real concern about their Session IPA. But overall, I really like this beer, and am now more excited to try more WBC in the future after the porter worried me.

 

First time Scotch Ale, what a wonderful beer to introduce me to this style.
