I've printed the draft list, looked up the reviews, and highlighted the higher rated beers of interest so I hit the goodies with a plan.

The whole block of Struise is highlighted, especially interested in the T.H.R.E.E been looking for that all year, a tangerine triple with a dash of hot pepper.

At last years event they had a 55gal wooden barrel of the De Dolle Teve on top of the bar, that beer is listed again, hope its in the barrel again, it was memorable. Theres always a boatload of stuff that's there and not on the web list, last minute additions?

It's looking pretty bad out there for you travelers. Do you all think people will still wait in line? Also, do they only put on certain drafts for Friday and then if something kicks they don't replace it (like Hopfest) or is the list constantly changing with stuff being added after something kicks (because at Max's the one flaw is perhaps the lack of knowing if something has kicked and what it has been replaced with; however, the bartender's are usually really good about this)?

So, unfortunately, given the weather and problems with flight cancellations going in and out of BWI (plus another committment locally), I had to cancel my trip. Oh well, there's always next year I guess.

To answer your questions, when I was living in Baltimore for the snowmageddon storm, there was no line whatsoever that first Friday. In fact, as I mentioned in a previous post, there were no more than 20 people in the bar when I arrived at 11:30. That was a few years back and the event has grown ever more popular (and crowded), but my guess is the current storm will have a similar impact on the crowd this year. A lot of folks who would normally drive down from Pa., Deleware and Jersey probably won't want to drive down, and then of course those folks who planned to fly in from out of state will likely have to cancel or at least rebook their travel plans as well.

As for your other question, they usually put out new stuff whenever a keg kicks, but it can sometimes take a bit for the staff to get around to it. Also, not everything they have are just single kegs, so in some instances they can replace a blown keg with a new one (not for the De Struise or Cantillon stuff of course). I know in the past they had a daily schedule for what's going to go on each day, but that schedule isn't written in concrete. So it's not impossible to see a beer that was scheduled to be tapped on Saturday, tapped on Friday instead.

Any ideas when the Fou Fone will be tapped? I've wanted to try that beer for years!

Cantillon will probably be tapped Friday, but they might be changing things up because of the weather.

Here is a great article with some more hints on the unlisted beers that will be there.

In the article Gillis just listed, Casey states won't be the Mad Bitch but instead is Stille Nachte.

It's early entrance to the upstairs bar to try the Oxbow and Perennial beers they are putting on tap that day. Limited to 50 people and I'm sure the spots are filled. Don't worry all the beers served will be available at 11.

I'll be wearing a light blue Camp Sunrise shirt that says Snowbound on the back with a kid's drawing. But I guess that won't matter because it will be cold with nowhere to put my coat (most likely), so I will have a black hoodie on with Eastern Tech Badminton on the back.

This is my first year going on Sunday. Sort of bummed I can't make today, but I'll survive. Hoping that Casey saves some good stuff for Sunday morning....although I don't think that will be a problem!

I don't know about Baltimore, but the roads in Catonsville are a lot worse this morning than they were after the 13". That extra 3" last night really made the road nasty.

There are still seats. Less than a Friday or game night.
