Ah, well it hasn't hit SE Michigan as of yet.

 

i grabbed 2 in RO this weekend, holiday was sold out immediately. havent cracked ine yet...

 

Currently on tap at Northdown in Chicago.

 

Anyone seen this in Ann Arbor/Washtenaw County yet? It looks like Metro Detroit finally got it, but I haven't seen it here.

 

Its basically gone in metro, you may be too late.

 

The store I work at in Farmington is getting ~3 bottles in the next week or so.

Apparently this one was quite limited (which I found surprising for a Michigan only release), and we weren't able to get a full case. I was told my salesman only had ~8 cases allocated for her 30 some stores. When they split a case like that they typically don't put it on the delivery truck (which is kind of stupid, since they do it all the time with split wine cases). Instead the salesman will drop it off when they're in the area. At least my salesman was honest and said "I don't know, a week or so" when I asked when they will drop it off, better than hearing "tomorrow" everyday for a week.

Anyways, since it's (probably) not going to be on regular deliveries for any stores, I would expect it to show up kind of sporadically over the next week-ish.

 

I went to my go to bottle shop last week and grabbed three. One to cellar, one to trade and one to drink now.
I just drank one actually, not too bad for a Porter. Im more into Stouts myself but i still enjoyed this one.

 

I'm liking this a lot. First smoked beer I've really enjoyed. Like we were saying before, the Founders Porter is godly to begin with, and this is a step up. The smoke really adds to it without being overpowering. A hit for sure!

 

Does anyone know if they still have any at Founders?

Heads up. 23 place liquor in Brighton has 4 - 5 bottles in the cooler if any body is still looking

 

Picked up a couple bottles today at Founders. Still a bunch left @ 10 bucks each.
Also, lots of Backwoods Bastard in the cooler!

 

I tried a bottle last night. It was OK. Not bad, but not at the top of my list of smoked porters.
