back from Florida, great trip despite what you may have heard

but tonight, I drink to the memory of a great man. Back when I was 6 years old, this ornery old guy taught me to play baseball, even though most of the time he yelled at me to "catch with both hands!" because I wasn't Rickey Henderson. Well that old guy was my grandfather, Thomas Cannella. For the past few years, Grandpa was sometimes healthy, sometimes not, but we all thought he was going to defy the odds and make it to see 100. Well a few days ago, he passed away. He must have been anxious to see Grandma again. I'm still saddened by his passing, but I'm happy that he's finally at rest. RIP Grandpa, thank you for teaching me to hit a baseball, for making it to my wedding, for all the wonderful memories, and for being the patriarch of an amazing family. We all love you.

    (old pic, delicious beer)

Took a day off to be home with one of the kids. Trouble was I had to pick up, watch, and then drop off his friend, so no drinking. FedEx arrived with a box of beer and I had to stare at it and wait.

Trying a Sidekick for the first time. It has a little age on it, but still has a pretty good aroma.

They are a regional brewery for me and a spring project of mine. I had never really tried them until last year I tired the wild hop pils. I thought it was great. Then I started hearing people say they weren't so bad. I have had a few things and I cannot say that I dislike them or think the quality is all that poor. So far this year I have had the legacy IPA, prism and this. They were all good or very good.

I've discovered I love Mosaic hops up, down, and sideways. Juicy, lush, tropical goodness. A winner here. ^_^/ Cheers

Didn't care much for this brew at all. Very meh in the IPA section. Luckily, it was in a multi pack of other beers.

Friend showed me this at work today and I have been laughing ever since! :grinning:

    And ofcourse the Original

Not a bad offering from DuClaw, and very affordable for a BB Barleywine.
