Heading to the Cell tomorrow with some friends, I'm guessing the games gonna get rained out or delayed. Haven't been there in couple years. Just wondering if there is any craft available to enjoy. Being a Cub fan im gonna need something to get me through. Ha Ha. Fiance is a Sox fan before anyone asks and I owe her one. Thanks all.

Was at the game last night and all the craft I saw was Leines. Wish Chicago sports stadiums (other than the Fire) would get on-board with craft.

Three Midwest Brews kiosks on the Cell's main concourse seem to be your best bet.

"There are, in fact, two quality IPAs available at said kiosks: Mad Hatter, which is a Midwestern craft beer staple from Michigan's New Holland Brewing, and Barfly IPA, from the small but impressive Barley Island Brewing Co. in Noblesville, Ind.
Though fairly broad, the Cell isn't exactly brave in its options: Most of its better beer is lighter summer fare, such as Oberon (another Midwestern classic, from Bell's Brewery), Summer Ale (a tasty golden ale from Minnesota's Summit Brewing) and Ebel's Weiss (a zesty wheat beer from Two Brothers Brewing in Warrenville).
You'll also find Goose Island's Green Line, Windy City Wheat from Chicago Beer Co., Crispin's English dry cider and Lakefront Brewery's gluten-free New Grist."

Above is from a recent Trib article comparing beer at the two Chicago baseball parks. Good luck!

Wow awesome much better than I expected. Thanks so much.
Now I at least have something to look forward too. Definitely looking
Forward to barfly IPA. I've had all the others. Cheers thanks again

We were there last night. As in the post above, look for the Midwest Brews kiosks. Two are on the main concourse near each foul pole. I am not sure where the third one is. They also usually have a Great Lakes selection as well.

Cubs fans need a lot of beer to get them through the continually losing seasons.

I was there Wednesday night and found the stand around the 130s section between 1st and RF, they take cards. The list posted above is accurate, $7/bottle.

The cell has a few decent spots, but even those aren't the greatest selection.

The UC has stepped up there game a little bit. You can find Daisy Cutter cans and Deschutes bottles/drafts at a couple different stands. Of course there is always the GI lineup of beers like 312, Green Line, IPA, Honkers etc. available in bottle and draft as well.

Was there yesterday.... found New Holland, Summitt, Bell's, Two Brothers & Lakefront. a few others .. but no Deschutes or Daisy Cutter. ( would have loved to have found DC ) also Barley Island Brewing-Barfly IPA Highly Recommend this one. very surprising and seriously underrated.

oh I did see a BMC craft beer stand as well ( Batch 19, Third Shift, Henry Wienhards, couple others ).... and the line to that was so long, I just laughed when over just a bit was were the good stuff was.

Where do you find DC or Deschutes beers? I'm at the stadium in a couple of hours and would like to drink something good with my ballgame

Daisy Cutter is at a couple of the stands on the 3rd level. You have to look over the counter and into these mini-coolers near the floor. Or you could look up at the sign where it says they have Daisy Cutter. I believe I paid $8 a can.

By UC I meant the United Center not the Cell. Sorry bout that, I know the acronyms are very similar.

I should also clarify that my post refers to the United Center.

I've never seen DC on the 3rd level concourse, I've always gotten it on the first level concourse. I'm always in the 300 level so I'll have to look for it. And yes, it is $8/can. Deschutes is def in the 300 level in all the corner bars that over look the arena.

US Cellular will have Anti-Hero on draft and in cans this year.

I'm pretty sure I got a daisy cutter there last year. They had like a craft beer little kiosk/fridge with mostly crap but I do remember getting a daisy cutter. First base line, towards the foul pole.

    That is awesome to hear!

To those that are newly introduced to this thread like me, there is a craft beer stand in right field next to the Miller crafty beer stand. The price for a bottle of a microbrew is the same price for a can of Miller Lite at the cell. With beer being the only concern, US Cellular is much more beer friendly than Wrigley Field.

Fun fact for those out in the 'burbs, there is a craft beer trailer on the third base line at the Kane County Cougars stadium.

The craft beer selection when I tailgate in the parking lot is actually much better. I wish the allotted time for tailgating had not steadily declined in recent years.:slight_frown:
