Bell's Black Note (2013)

its really that good. a must try beer for the barrel aged beer fan.

 

To the best of my knowledge, only a couple of cases made it to Georgia last year. Hop City got one case, and they made the decision to sell by the bottle. They've told me that there probably will not be any advance notice for BN. Hope this helps. I'm hoping for some myself.

 

If you like BA stouts, it's probably one of the best you'll have. Ever.

 

Black Note was the first barrel aged beer I tried. Had it at a beer festival here back in 2011. Kept getting back in line for more over and over and over again until I ran out of tokens.

My favorite is still BB Batch 9k from Bells but its so rare that i'll likely never have it again.

 

Black Note really is a good example of a balanced barrel aged stout.
I still prefer BCBS over it though....

Wow, sounds great! Im a big fan of bcbs, kbs, and the likes. Guess Ill have to try and find a bottle or two. Seems like it will be a shitshow though. Ugh.

 

Its funny, Since this whole Black Note fiasco, KBS seems to have taken a back seat.
Anybody remember KBS?

I'd trade half a case of black note for a full case of KBS. As long as I'm on the receiving end of the black note. It's that good. (Lucky for me I've got a full case of both )

 

Was very close to taking the 3.5 hour one way trip today...instead I cleaned the house and made steak for dinner....also didn't spend $300 (I woulda taken a friend to make it well worth the 7 hours in the car)...no complaints, I got plenty of good stuff laying around!!!

It's horrible. If you ever acquire any I'll trade you bottle for bottle for a much better BA Stout which is of course Dragon's Milk. You'll thank me.

 

Picked up a case at 11:30am from Bell's General Store. As of that time, they had 1/2 a pallet left in the cooler, plus a couple more cases and some 4-packs on the shelves. If there's any still there, it won't be for long - they were answering "do you still have" phone calls every couple of minutes. A friend down the hall at work called Mega-Bev on West Main, and they said they're only planning to sell singles, with a price point of $9 per.
