Well fuck, now you tell me after I've already gone through a bunch of mine trying to find good bottles.

I hear you. I've not found a bottle with this issue and I'm really not even sure I'm going to take them up on trading in. However, there was a post of some one who had a bottle with this, so I thought that I'd share.

It wasn't anything overtly bad, there was just something a little different than previous batches. Peruvian Morning is one of my favorite beers and this years batch was sadly subpar. Had a weird tartness to it that, while subdued, was still noticeable.

glad to hear they're acknowledging the problem and are willing to do something about it. CW makes some really tasty barrel aged beers, so I'd hate to see their name dragged through the mud.

Is there any way to tell if it's good or bad before buying it, or is it pretty much on a bottle-by-bottle basis? Still so much of it left on the shelves and the gamble is tempting...

They will get back to you....it took them a few days to respond to me and it looks like they are reading and responding personally, not too easy to do while brewing beer also!!!

If you drank yours and weren't happy with it, just let them know in an email how many you bought that you would like replacement or credit for. Based on my conversation so far, it doesn't sound like they're demanding full bottles before issuing credit. At least when it comes to credit for my one measly 4-pack.

I picked up on that tartness as well. I drank one a month ago or so and thought I was drinking the BB Cherry Stout...I hate to do this to breweries! Not that it's bad beer or anything, it just wasn't up to par with some of the previous batches, which were one of my favorite beers. I'm still trying to decide to email them and ask for a refund on the case I got!

I had a case in my fridge and now 2 bottles left. I enjoyed the beer immensely...hope my last 2 bottles are still good. I'm not sure why but personally I'd feel bad asking a refund from them (this is just me talking!). They are a great brewery and they are small brewery. Accidents happen, they are human. It's nice to see that they acknowledged their mistake and are giving refunds.

I had 2 bottles that were excellent and 2 that were tart recently hard to say. Seems less common than last year but still there.

Several new posts regarding the 2013 release in an old 2012 post.
    Gonna lock this down...

Feel free to start a new thread to discuss 2013, ok?
