No one had any clue about this Black Note release until it ended up on shelves in Minnesota. No one knew it was going to be on shelves at Bell's until it was on shelves at Bell's. The distribution in Michigan was not really known until it showed up in stores. There seems to be a common thread here....

Moral of the story? There is nothing to know until there is something to know.

It is obvious Bells knows they will sell every bottle. There is no need for hype.

Hype, no, but some sort of information on the release would be nice.

Lack of information benefits just as many people, potentially more, as providing some sort of information would. There is a method to the madness.

Never seen Black Note on the shelf, much like KBS, anywhere in Michigan.

No disrespect but this seems doubletalk. How does no info benefit?

I just found a bunch at Kings Kove in Holland, mi. Two bottle limit per customer for only $8.99 per bottle.

I told them to get bent and left empty handed...

Good call. It's not worth that. Would never pay $18 + tax & dep. for 24 oz of KBS

I walked into a Hardings yesterday to pick up some things for my girlfriend and asked the guy at the service counter if they had any KBS left and he said that they had sold out but pulled a 4-pack of Black Note from under the counter and said "We have this though!" I've never been so happy to not find KBS...

I say yes, but can bet others will say no based only on the fact they like one more than the other. They are about just as hard to acquire this year, except that people were allowed to buy a full case at the brewery.

Black Note is slightly more expensive, but just a few dollars

Just picked up 1 bottle at Eastern District in Brooklyn. First I've ever seen. $9.50. Also scored their last KBS(!)

I'd take a 1-1 trade for black note and KBS if I were getting the BN. Had another KBS last night, and I've decided it pales in comparison to Black Note. Much thinner and not enough Bourbon for my tastes. Black note is like a smoother/creamier Bourbon County.
