Ever broken or spilled a great beer?

I went to Ale Smith to get my BA Speedway (30/bottle) I proceeded to put all 3 of them on the table with two pours of BA speedway in the front. After taking the standard IG pictures to show the world I attempted to pick the bottles up; this is when it got shitty. Two of the bottles fell over, started rolling around on the table, spilled the two pours while I listened to someone in the background say "what an idiot" At that moment I had to agree. I managed to save the bottles and my pride but never again will I do that.

I cracked open my prized BA Jones Dog last night, put in a Simon Rattle DVD, and knocked my glass over onto the carpet. I lost half of the precious 12 oz I had, I was so upset with myself.

 

You are. You're just supposed to let it settle before pouring the entire glass all at once. It's the only way to get draft quality head.

 

Wow that looks like a crime scene and the bottle is bleeding out. I am sorry for your loss.

 

FFF Arctic Panzer Wolf, Live a Rich Life, and a Rockmill cask aged triple all within the past 4 months. Ohh and I slipped while carrying a Hunahpu day cooler and busted the caps off two Jackie O's sours. I'm still pretty ashamed.

 

My dog knocked over a Reidel stem that I got for my wedding filled with Mammuche the other night. Not sure if I was more mad about the glass or the beer.

 

Purchased a case of August Schells Nobel Star. Tasted one out of the case. Beer was great so, my husband decided to give/share most of the case without my knowledge. Went to get a bottle one day and case was empty. Didn't get a chance to even spill the beer.

 

Bottle of 2013 Hunahpu fell out of the fridge. The top of the bottle neck broke off and not much beer was lost. I was forced to drink it at 10 in the morning!

 

Surprisingly no, they're made out of ceramic, so when you drop it, they're basically a grenade.

I got one in the mail and the box had a small dent in it - I figured "oh no big deal" until I opened it up and smelled sweet nectar all over the inside and the packing peanuts were mush...

 

One day I was showing my girlfriend what I bought at the store earlier that day (just a 4-pack of PranQster for her and a 4 pack of Old Rasputin for me), and when I reached to pull out the Rasputin, the 4 pack fell on the cement floor and two of them broke. Was a pain to clean up but thankfully it was a cheap and common beer I can always buy more of. Been more careful since then.

I literally "oofed" when I saw the broken Parabola a few posts up. I know how hard I had to hunt that beer. Sorry for your loss.

 

If you did that before work and I was your boss, I would totally understand.

 

Luckily, I haven't spilled anything up to this point, but this guy didn't have such luck...

 

Bottom broke out of a 4 pack while I was standing on my buddy's porch. Lost 2 FIS, a Bells Java Stout, and a Boulevard Dark Truth.

Since only Founders sends to NJ, I was pretty sad.

 

Shattered a bottle of BCBS putting it in the fridge. Sucked but I was actually heading out for a beer fest so I didn't mind smelling like BA goodness!

 

I gave my friend a Darkness 13' as a gift. His wife's grandmother came for a visit and stayed in their room. When she left the bottle was gone... theory is she thought the bottle art was "eeeevil" and so took it upon herself to dispose of it. That or grandma drank it... never leave your beer horde out for Grandma... never!

I had a 4 pack of 2012 Old Stock that I dropped in the garage. Luckily for me, two bottles broke. One of my dogs helped with the cleanup.

 

Dropped a 12 pk of Corona bottles in a parking lot while on vacation. Lost 3...the limes saved the other 9

 

I don't have any horror stories, but one of my friends got drunk at a tasting and tried to open his last bottle of Vanilla BCBS on the kitchen counter and the entire neck snapped. Had to drain pour the entire thing. I'm pretty sure he cried.
