'12 Parabola sightings in LA?

nice. i gave the check-out girl a little info about why she had been getting so many phone calls about the beer and why it "cost so much". she actually seemed pretty interested and agreed that $30 for a mediocre wine is a lot rougher than $15 for a world class beer

 

Whole Foods El Segundo still had some. Had to ask for it, but picked up 2 bottles (the limit I was told) just an hour ago.

 

i picked up a couple of bottles at Adam's Fine Wine and Liquor in Redondo Beach yesterday...

 

I saw about 6 bottles on the shelf at Total Wine Redondo yesterday for $13.99, 1 per person.

 

Bevmo @ Rolling Hills had 4 cases at the register just 30 mins ago. Grabbed 3 bottles myself, didn't seem to be a limit.

 

Whole Foods Glendale beer guy says they expect to get it, but still have no concrete idea when. Pardon me, but WTF is up with this? Is FW distro to central LA so shitty that we are literally the last market to get seasonal/limited releases?

 

Saw a parabola picture on library alehouse twitter, got excited and came here tonight. Turns out their saving it and it's not available tonight. I cried in a bar tonight lol

 

That's lame. I saw that tweet too. Never would have guessed that they'd advertise having it and then NOT serve it. Another check against why I prefer Daily Pint or Venice Ale House when I'm near the beach!

 

Yea was kinda disappointed. Still really enjoy library alehouse though

 

just found some at beverage warehouse in the marina. priced at $23...

 

I had it the other night on tap, I did not think it was as good as last years. but i still bought my two bottles out in corona.

 

hardly los angeles but if you're up for a long, scenic drive or weekend trip there is loads of parabola, abacus, and even firestone walker 15th languishing on store shelves in the pismo/central coast area.

 

4 Bottles at the Brea Bevmo at around 3:00 this afternoon.

 

$23 a bottle!!! It's nearly $10 cheaper at any and all WF in LA. That's unbelievable. I'm so glad I've completely stopped shopping there. Those guys are awful...

Nope. Thank Allied Distribution for that one, imo. Seen in Santa Barbara County, lots of posts on this thread about it being in the OC, San Diego, other states, etc. yet somehow it's a wasteland in the SFV, and parts of LA. Same was true in this area for Abyss Distribution last year too. Anyhow, on a plus side, was able to get two bottles in Carpinteria over the weekend.

 

Still on the shelf at total wine redondo. $13.99, one bottle/person/day.

 

Well, I just sucked it up and bought at BW. Driving down to Long Beach would have cost the extra $10 in gas anyway.

But yeah, thanks for nothing, Allied. It shouldn't be so hard to get FW in f*cking Los Angeles. It's not like we're Kernville over here.
