I don't see it happening. They are very different breweries. Kane does Jersey proud by making world class beers everyone knows how to talk about. I talk about them every time someone brings up great IPAs or BA beers. It's not often I'm in the middle of a "what's the best Black Saison with pepper or yellow coffee beer" conversation. I will spend hours telling friends Port Omna is as good as Founders. Till Carton makes an IPA or barrel ages a stout I just don't see them coming up as much. But either way I'm glad to have them both.

True, Carton can be so out there you can't compare them to other beers that everyone knows. But they do have a great DIPA.

Agreed I love 077XX. Back on topic Boat is the best session/lawnmower beer I've had and I'm pretty sure it was the first a couple years ago. No one really jams hops in a small beer like they do. I still hope they make a regular IPA at some point just because I imagine it would be cool. But till then I'm 100% fine drinking Head High.

This is probably one of the only times I prefer MBC to a good craft beer. On a hot summer day after doing yard work/ mowing the lawn I do prefer a MBC. It's cheap and refreshing. I also partake in MBC at the beach occasionaly.

I've gotta throw this out, since I just finished one and was very happy with it: cans of Fremont's Summer Ale. These just dropped at the local Total Wine, and they were brewed less than 3 weeks ago! This APA is simplicity at it's best; just 1 malt (2-row), and 1 hop (Amarillo) on the bill with a 5.2% ABV that won't knock you on your ass after a few. It isn't a beer to sit and ponder about it's intricacies - it's super refreshing, reasonably priced, hopped beautifully, and well balanced. I'll definitely be picking up a few sixers as the months roll on, and the fact it's canned is just that much better.

No worries, I saw some the other day and I'll be sure to buy some this week. Cheers!

Agree with a lot of what most people said, but also have to give a shout out to BridgePort's Summer Squeeze and Deschutes Twilight Summer Ale.

Although, overall, I'd say my favorite session summer brew would be Sam Adams Utopias. Knock out a bottle of that and you won't give one shit about having to mow the lawn.
