Just forked over $500 to a plumber b/c our house couldn't handle the torrential rain that was dumped on us over the past 48 hours. But now the sun has arrived, and so has Heady, thanks to my buddy in Vermont. Liquid sunshine. Bitter, sappy, citrusy sunshine.

Was feeling like some wild and had a GI Juliet in my hand when I saw this. Def not what I expected as it's a Flemish wild, but decent nonetheless. I didn't abandon GI, as I traded Juliet for Sophia, which I'll open tonight or tomorrow.

What a day to have off... High of 48 and rain all day... Oh well, I took the night off because my daughter has an orchestra concert. That should be enjoyable! It's called the "Spring String Spectacular" and will feature the High School orchestra as well as the elementary students. Can't wait!

In the mean time... Why not indulge in a first for me? Pretty good pale from Michigan!
    Cheers!

Fried catfish tacos with roasted red pepper sauce and srirachi mayo. (From a food truck of course)
I love pairing these with bitter IPAs.
The fat and acid play off one another beautifully.

    Cheers

Visiting my daughter and grandsons in Albuquerque. We went to lunch at Bosque Brewing, which turned out to be a great choice. I had Brewer's Boot Amber, my wife had The Last Straw Hefe, and my daughter had the root beer. Limited menu, good food.
