Yeah, but it seems like a name better suited for a brewery on the Coronado landing. [smirk]

Nonetheless, no way they should be mentioned in this thread.

I am never thrilled by Coronado's standard releases, but their taproom is worth a visit if you have the time and the inclination. They make good beer and there's a ton of variety.

However, culling from a list of 80 is not easy... I'm not convinced that a trip across the bridge into popped collar land is worth a brewery visit.

Alpine has some of the best damn beer around, no doubt, and maybe its just me, but I have had more visits with me leaving feeling like the people who helped me with either a growler fill/bottle purchase or some food, like if it was an inconvenience?!?

The beer is too good to NOT visit the brewery if youre visiting from out of town, but personally, its been getting easier to skip the drive out there.

I hope you dont get this vibe from any brewery you visit and hopefully I just visit Alpine on days that the staff were just having bad days!?

You do realize that their primary brewery and tasting room is now in Bay Park, right? No bridge trip required.

They probably thought you were from LA.

I only went once since I was visiting and since it was a Sunday it was slow as hell. I had no trouble getting pours and asking questions with the bartender got me the hookup on a pour of their barrel aged barleywine they had on tap. It wasn't much to look at but it was almost the same atmosphere and vibe as the 'taproom' at the bruery before they built their proper taproom. Just smaller and way less crowded.
