Just enjoyed a bottle of NB Ranger with my dinner—some sushi, plus the rest of my kale sauteed with a bunch of mushrooms. Very tasty after my run earlier. And considering I found two ticks on me today, and the second one attached since my run Sunday, I'm uh, thinking about a second beer. Hate ticks . . . but I've got work to do still tonight, so that may have to wait. Ah, well.

Whatever beer you've got in front of you, enjoy it, ya weirdos. DO IT FOR ME. Saude, galera . . .

sorry mate! Hopefully you aren't too far away! We are all cozy neighbors (MD/DC/VA) here so maybe it's not that far away as you might discover  Happy beer trails!

Need a strong, dark beer after a long work day. Yet another beautiful Spring day spent indoors; working the evening; and missing out on the anniversary celebration at the Malted Barley. I need a beer to make that all go away.

That'll do. I could drink this every day.

Well, long day in the books...a great one at that...minus the whole work part and taking on more responsibility for the same pay. However, I received two solid boxes in the mail to help me drown my sorrows and turn my day around.

First up is one of the best IIPA’s I’ve had. Boneyard Hop Venom from a great BA’er @Kurmaraja who sent this bad boy coast to coast in the blink of an eye. This is seriously a top 5...Heady has nothing on this. The nose is full of mango, pineapple, and citrus. I’ve never had an aroma so strong and appealing that smacked me in the face from the pour. Taste is much the same with a nice hop smack on the back end but met with a very delicate balance as to keep you asking for more. Mouthfeel is perfect...nice and resinous but doesn’t leave you too tart or dry. This is a beautiful beer in all ways....I’m going to cry when this growler is gone :slight_frown:

Next is just a nice little shelf turd, Ten Fidy. I’ll just re-use yesterdays pic :stuck_out_tongue:

Listening to a little River Whyless...this band is amazing. They are out of Asheville, NC...you know, Wicked Weed, Green Man, near Pisgah etc.

Settling down catching the rest of the Tigers game after a bunch of running around after work.

Decided to bust out the Pilsner glass since I haven't used it in a while. Trying out Bourbon Barrel Aged Citra Pale Ale by Odd Sides. Pretty good. Don't get a ton of barrel taste. I haven't had their regular Citra Pale Ale so I don't know how much the Bourbon Barrel aging does to it. Nice brew to drink while watching baseball.
