Not sure that likening first time posters to Chris Matthews fosters desire to post again...

Intended to use recent issue for example but am overly enthusiastic about recycling ... Maybe next month.

More broadly though, I think it's a question of complexity vs. accessibility, and even the broader consideration of who we review for ...

I do believe the amount of short and possibly over simplistic reviews far outweighs the amount of verbose and pedantic review. There are very few reviews I personally find useful, and even fewer that I read. I stick to reviews by people I know and palates I trust. My method eliminates my concern over how someone else chooses to review a beer.

I likened your post, not you personally. There's a difference and I don't know you well enough otherwise.

Thanks for the shout-out on Twitter too.

Yes, how dare reviewers mention obscure fruits like "green apples" when most of the world's population has probably never tasted one.

Poor example both historically and presently speaking. Apples are among the most popular fruits in the world (if not the most popular). China grows almost 10 times the amount of apples as the US. Apples exist on every continent. Iranian production of apples is just slightly smaller than the US. Obvious biblical stories exemplify the widespread existence of the apple.

Hardly equates with the notion of "obscure".
