All lifs aside this has been an amazing Memorial Day. Last night buying a round for all the Heroes at fish heads. And raising a bar wide toast to our fallen. Thanks to all who serve so my fat ass can drink beers I have so much respect. And it's not just cause I am drunk. ####hoist2heroes

So yesterday I somewhat juiced/crushed some watermelon chunks and let a can of Westbrook Gose soak in the chunks/juice for about an hour. Very awesome results! Gave the Gose a very nice subtle Watermelon flavor. Highly recommend. I will be trying this with other fruit. I imagine Blueberry being fantastic.

so ive never seen me chug a beer before, and my friends all used to say i opened my throat. i now know what they mean, it looked really bizarre. i do have a gag reflex though, but it totally looks like i dont.

Hey, Kentuckians! I'm going to be inside you('re state) this weekend! I'm going to a wedding in Greenville, IN on saturday but I'm pretty sure I'll be hanging out in Louisville Friday afternoon/evening. Any recomendations and/or wanna get a beer?

Also, the groom told me they'll have Upland brews at the wedding...but I'm guessing they didn't get a lambic keg...

 

Speaking of which...

Dearest Sender, if my box happens to be landing this Friday or Saturday could you please have it held at a local Fedex/UPS/Whatever location or hold off on sending until next week?? If it's landing is Thursday or before, that'll be fine. I just don't want it sitting on my porch in 85 degree weather all weekend. Kthx.

I'd love to take a quick trip to Loserville on Friday, but we'd have to get a sitter. It's not entirely out of the cards as the wife and I like to do weekend trips whenever possible.

 

Crap, our initial plan was to drive and then we ended up using miles for flights into Louisville. Would've definitely stopped in. No worries on the sitter as I have no idea what our actual plans are(outside of my bro-in-law and I going to ATG). Just wanted to see if you'd be around.

I was just in for Derby earlier in May. Go to Sergio's, bring cash, and expect to pay a little extra, but there are some elusive beers in those coolers. Against the Grain is a fun time, and they have a decent selection of their own bottles to go. Also, check out the Louisville Beer Store.
