That Alewerks BBP is fantastic. @richardflyr gave me some and it's quite the tasty beverage

It's the 5 gallon/20L Braumeister. The thing is a beast and makes my brew days so much easier. Expensive but well worth it.

Just don't tell people where that is..... We don't need more people drinking our CBS than necessary! And tell no one about Sunday!

edit: 'our' as in I'm going to try like hell to get there Saturday and Sunday, I'm not confident about either one but very hopeful.

Not exactly a secret in these parts--pretty well advertised. I'm not sure I'll even make an effort for the CBS, might go a bit later and suffer with the "dregs". Also planning on hitting Surly at Iron Abbey on Tuesday if you're able.

Just to let you guys know, while brewing tonight, I decided to crack open a whale to accompany me. Gents, I know you might be appalled that I have done so, but I just had to do it. I finally cracked open my last Youngs Double Chocolate that had been sitting in my fridge since 2012. I know, I know, it was a risky move but I couldn't control myself. It was calling my name from behind several other cans on my lower shelf. I had to rescue him.

Yeah that's a hell of an awesome IPA lineup... only one or two I haven't had though so as good as they are, I can't see going out of my way too far to get there.

Lots of CBS has been showing up lately... is there some sort of CBS trove that has been unearthed, confirmation of it being brewed again, is now finally the time to drink it?

Seriously. If it's time to drink it, please send me some. If it's not time to drink it, send me some anyway and let me form my own opinion.

In related news, that IPA line-up is pretty solid; Hop in the Dark is really underappreciated and I am stoked that Deschutes is apparently making it again.

Also I lost alerts. WTH BeerAdvocate making me fall behind.

@TheBeerAlmanac, it's a good thing you didn't get a sitter...I was just now informed there's a rehearsal dinner tonight. I wonder what it's like to be "in the know" on things...

Being "in the know" just means you need to remember it. Quick story: my wife's family is having a picnic on July 12th that we will be attending. I knew about it and remembered it so when a friend invited me to a tasting that night with beers the likes of BVDL and Framboos- I had to figure out a way to go. So the other night I asked my wife if she wanted to know about a free Fathers day gift she could get me. She said sure, so I told her if she let me go to this tasting on the 12th that would be all I needed. She stared at me, stunned, for a few seconds and said "Thats my birthday, asshole." Whoops!
