Following up, things are looking hopeful for me acquiring slightly more than my target number of these for personal consumption through some IP trades. Nothing solid yet because bootles are not in-hand, but I think I'll have you covered. I expect trades to be locked up and completed within a week or two from now.

 

Hmmm... there's an idea, have 2 different boxes going around at once, one that's Round 2 BIF in a Box, and another that's "Gang BIF in a Box"

Since there's so many people/teams involved (BIF in a Box part 1 was what, 6-8 months of one recipient at a time?) I wouldn't think this would be too much for anyone involved to handle.

 

Also, the idea came up because I think Round 2 is gonna have a lot more people in it so in order to reduce the timeframe, we just pair up people and cut down overall timeframe in half. But just an idea at this point. Right now, the other option we have is just to send out two boxes at once. The only issue with that would be that it's gonna be a bit of a pain logistically.

yes, i know not the same, but have some simliarities.

 

Not if you just have 2 lists and nobody knows who's on which list, except for the two people who start it. That way you never have to worry about the same person getting the box and the only logistics is splitting up the group evenly geographically at the beginning.

 

And that's why I'm not paid to be smart. Great idea and thanks for solving that issue for me!

i like this idea a lot. how many are in for round two, roughly. i dont really care what we do, im down. and the good thing is, we dont have to rush through anything.

Not sure total numbers but we've had about 6 new guys ask to be in for round two and I'm assuming a lot of the OGs will be in too. Plus, once we put out an official signup, we'll probably get more. So in thinking closer to 40ish if not more. If we're under 30, we'll just keep it like it is, one box/ one list.

I think every single one of you guys are awesome and think this group is awesome and everyone's beer is awesome and <insert more ass kissing>, but wtf ever happened to swtfyw? I may be in the minority, but I feel the fewer rules the better. Perhaps I just thrive in chaos.

 

Stopped in a Louisville Whole Foods for the wife. Just had to pick up some hotel beer while I was there.

It's still SWTFYW. Just trying to figure out how to accommodate the potential influx of new users with the current rules. If we get under 30, we got with one box, over 30 = 2 boxes.

 

Hit the Louisville Beer Store if you get a chance, or Keg Liquors if you cross the river. I've never actually been to either but everytime one of my local buddy mules hits Louisville, those are the main stops.
