Box was just dropped off! That means it's time for another hint for the BIF in a box!
Hint#4: I have fewer official wants on BA than my target.

I gave this some thought, getting out to Lancaster isn't that big a deal, about an hour each way. The only reason I didn't (or haven't) is uncertainty about there barrel aging. I don't recall them doing anything up in a barrel, at least not that I've tried. It seemed like a pretty ambitious program for a brewery without a lot of experience.
I'll probably be regretting my decision about the time you crack your first bottle and then begin begging you for your additional allotments.

I'd consider splitting a membership with someone if there is interest and if someone wants to be a trustee.

Nice! I wish there was a brewery around me doing interesting things that offered a similar program. I'd love to try/buy a bootle if there's anything you're not getting your full allotment on. I love trying new stuff!

If you've had Flora I wouldn't do this and drink your CD8 (assuming you haven't had it). If you haven't had Flora, then by all means YES DO THAT TRADE 10 TIMES A DAY EVERYDAY UNTIL THE SUN BURNS OUT. Flora w/ Sats is basically Flora with a bit more juiciness upfront and a tinge of mandarin oranges on the back end. Such a subtle flavor but it haunts me to this day.

8 entries so far, you have until Monday to throw up a list of 10 songs. So far there is one person leading, not all 10 songs have been guessed, so you have room to throw up a winning guess if you haven't guessed yet!

There's a new brewery opening up close to me...but I don't have high hopes for a few reasons:
    1.)Sounds gimmicky
    2.)"Authentic-tasting German Beers"
3.)Already talking expansion to a 50 barrel system and there's no mention of brewing experience
    4.)"Authentic-tasting German Beers"

    http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle...angleorder-your-fall-beers-from-facebook.html

Is it wrong that I hear "german styles" and automatically write it off as boring as shit? There's another brewery opening up literally in my neighborhood(2 blocks away) that is also going to brew that style and I'm in a bit of a depression about it.

Lurker barging in here for a sec...I agree 10x over. I've tried and tried to get myself excited for the german style brews if for nothing else than to appreciate the tradition from whence it (the royal IT) came. But, it's just blah.

That being said, have you ever been to the Heinzelmannchen Brewery in Sylva? My father in law used to live in Lake Junalusca, and we would go to the brewery a couple times of year. Got to know Dieter pretty well and he really had some interesting takes on German brews. Most were more "american" styles with a german twist. It's worth a stop if you're ever in that area.

yup, i agree. the two best german style beers ive had have been victorys prima pils and new glarus imperial weizen. stoudts pils was pretty good, too.

So true...everytime I get mailed a 6'er of it, my wife drinks all but one of them. I liked it better when she just drank Miller Lite.

A new brewery opened up down the road for me and I was excited for a bit but now I'm a bit bummed. It's called Rinn Duin. They plan on only doing English, Irish, and Scottish style beers and from what I've tastes so far, they're average at best. Almost like they watered them down a lot. I really was hoping for more.
