SWTFYW Hints and Hauls!!!

Same thing down here, more and more breweries opening, most of which are average at best and I don't see how they're going to last long enough to get better.

 

People talk about the bubble but really for every 10 breweries that open only 3 make It past 2 years

 

I wonder who's hosting that one?

 

As someone who follows breweries and has aspirations of opening one day I'd love to see where that information comes from? I have seen a lot of bad breweries opening here locally and they aren't closing, they are expanding, which is sickening when I think of how bad some are.

 

TX is vastly unsaturated in comparison to New England or mid Atlantic

In other news, I got this box from a buddy today and figured you all appreciate any beer pron, so...

Definitely my favourite of the set. Then again, I'm a huge sucker for coffee stouts and BA coffee stouts.

 

Are the FW boxes just a back drop or were they part of the box? Either way, awesome!

 

Haha they were just there in the background. That reminds me, I need to track down a FW17, another DDBA and a Stickee Monkee to add to my box collection. I've given up on trying to land the older Anniversary Ales, and the bottle of DDBA that I got in a trade in the Fall didn't come with the box.

 

DDBA... how you elude me. A coworker (into beer, not a BA) checked that beer in last weekend, I text him "dude where'd you find that" ... conversation ends with "I'll go back and see if I can get you one" ... "I got you one, will bring it in Monday."

DDBA sat on shelves forever here, and it appears to be releasing here next month. I got your back if you don't get taken care of by one of these fine gentlemen.

 

I love you guys, that's 3 offers in 20 minutes. I'm trying very hard to take a break from trades so I can thin out the cellar a bit (fridges, yes, multiple, are bursting) ... I will definitely hit you guys up at some point.

 

Amen. Not much more to say. All but 1 recent trade has been through this group or a long-term trading partner where we basically do BIF boxes anyway. And that one trade was just a way to get some of the beers I sent to people in here

 

Would anyone be interested in an Independence Day mini-BIF? I was thinking it could be four for the Fourth: 4 bottles, SWTFYW style, locals over walez, just whatever you think your target should enjoy as they light off fire crackers and celebrate their goddamn right to be 'Murican.

If we had targets before Friday and about two weeks to ship, is that enough time for everyone to get their acts together?
